Onyx The Fortuitous Sequel Novels & Stories

“I think I was before NYX.” We descended the tower in silence, the city’s chaos swelling below like a tidal wave. As we entered the war room, Clara met us with a pale face and trembling hands. “There’s something you both need to see,” she said. On the screen, a video played—grainy, untraceable. It showed a lab. Three figures in containment tubes. Two girls. One boy. All with matching neural implants. A voice spoke offscreen. “Activate THORN Sequence Alpha. Begin memory overwrite.”

Just Ray stops laughing, wipes the red honey off his lips with his shirt, and moves around the metallic cave, trying to find something. “I’m not taking you—” “Why not!?” “I am not getting killed,” Just Ray shouted. “Just Ray, do not fret. No one will kill you,” I promised. “We will keep you alive forever, your honey is wonderful!” He eyed me suspiciously and moved piles of his treasures to the side, useless things until he found a life-saver. It’s black with various patches sewn in to keep it together, the metal rusting, the handle made of wood, and he rubs a strange substance on it to get it to open up.

Yet, instead of succumbing to despair, he chose to fortify his determination. Though Onel's heart ached, he resolved to rewrite the mistakes of his gullible past. Tonight, he would embark on a journey of self-discovery, reclaiming his own agency and shaping his destiny. With unwavering resolve, Onel declared his intentions to the universe. He had already decided he would rewrite all the things his gullible self did before. And he would start tonight. As Onel prepared to return to the past, memories of his coming-of-age ceremony flooded his mind. Among all the alphas, the only one he had danced with was Blue.

Xylan contemplated on what Alpha Onyx said, somehow, she got queasy to meet Caspian. Alpha Onyx stood up from his seat, "come let us take you to Caspian, your future husband." Xylan stood up sluggishly, having a doubtful mind about the meeting. Alpha Onyx walked towards Caspian's chamber, he made sure Xylan was beside him and glanced at her every now and then as she admired her environment. Xylan was dumbfounded with the paints and designed on the wall. The wall had some ancient designs of some warriors, who had won some potential battles. There was an act of a wolf, a big wolf who was obviously an Alpha.

“You gave us quite the scare.” We? Us? I tried to sit up, but I felt a sudden weakness zipped through me, making me slump down. And before I could try again, the stranger gently assisted in steadying me. “You shouldn’t move too fast. You’re still healing,” he added. I blinked at him, trying to make sure I wasn't dreaming. “Where is this place and who are you?” “Oh, Pardon my manners. I’m Owen, beta of King Tyler of the Obsidian lycan pack. King Tyler had to bring you to a neighboring pack clinic close by since your pack’s doctor was nowhere to be found at that time.”

I was so convinced my son was yours. AND THANK THE GOOD LORD HE ISN'T! MEN LIKE YOU SHOULD BE DENIED THE PRIVILEGE TO PROCREATE. Dylan gazed at Juniper with interest. He took a sip of his wine before speaking in a hushed tone, "I have to ask, what's behind the incredible transformation? How did the demure and ordinary Juniper morph into the sexy and well-off piece of art in front of me?" He raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with curiosity. "What's your secret? Did you rob a bank or something?"

I told all of them. Alpha Nox's face turned bright red with anger. His daughter, noticing the change in her father's mood, quickly imitated his pout. Her lips stuck out slightly, perfectly reflecting her displeasure and matching the intensity of his anger. I got up from my seat and was about to exit the room when he shouted. "Alpha Carlo, you had her before you even found out she was blessed by the goddess, right? In the past, she was just a regular Omega, but now she's someone who possesses something incredibly valuable that attracts the attention of many. Times have changed, and you can't just lay claim to it like you could before."

His eyes were a startling amber, his gaze cool and calculating, as though he had just finished taking in the four of us and was considering his response. The second couldn’t have looked more different. His skin was scorched copper. Instead of horns, there was a ridge of small obsidian spines swept back over his head. Unfamiliar symbols wound up both forearms, glowing faintly beneath his skin with a slow, steady pulse. But it was his eyes that held me. Pure onyx from edge to edge, they were unsettling enough that I had to fight the instinct to look away when they settled on me. "Breandán," Osric said, gesturing to the horned one first. "And Khufu.”

But his eyes—sharp amber eyes—held the unmistakable intelligence and wariness of an Alpha protecting his territory. "Well, well," he said, his accent distinctly Yorkshire. "What have we here? Two strangers washing up on our riverbank like dead fish." I forced myself to remain calm, even as my protective instincts screamed at me to shield Orion from their scrutiny. "Please," I said, keeping my voice steady and non-threatening. "My mate is unconscious. He's in a trance—a supernatural condition. We're not here to cause trouble. We just need help." The farmer-Alpha's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Trance? That's a convenient story. More likely he's unconscious from whatever fight you two were runn

I didn't know if I should bless the goddess for sparing me or continue the prayer of help because the voice I heard was the voice of the queen Luna, Alpha Kian's mother. Mrs. Rein bowed in respect, “Queen Luna” I didn't bother to get up or look at the Queen Luna's face, I prostrated on the floor with my face to the ground. “Let her be for today. We have a lot we are preparing for and we need her and her strength. Do not beat her any further.” Her voice was gentle but I knew better than to believe that gentle voice. “My future daughter-in-law and the next Luna of Ironstone Pack is coming soon,” Queen Luna continued, her voice laced with unspoken authority, “We have a lot of work to do. We can
