Surely, it wouldn’t be out in the open, but he also wouldn’t tuck it away somewhere that would take years to find. Flora began pulling books from the shelves one by one, opening them carefully and flipping through the pages, hoping to find something—anything—that might give her a clue. Most of the books were old and untouched, dusty even. It was tedious work, and her patience began to wear thin as book after book yielded nothing.

She bent slightly from where she stood but didn’t force herself to squeeze under the desk with me. “Books,” I muttered, still inspecting them. I crawled out and placed the books on the desk. Instead, she looked at me and asked, “May I—?” I paused before answering, “Yes.” Only then did Corrine pick up one of the books—the largest of the three—and carefully open it. On the very first page, we saw elegant, looping handwriting, as though written with great care.

Another thing is that normal school textbooks can only be opened manually but this book opens by itself immediately after you're done reading a page, and the page you've just read will go blank if it was read by another person except for the owner of the book. I know. And, I looked at my watch to begin counting her time, and she tried to move the shelf by pushing it with her right hand which made me hold my laughter. No, I'm not gonna laugh. Then, she let out a heavy breath as she put a hand on her waist and looking at the huge thing in front of her while puzzled by how to get it open. Is she tired? "Nine minutes! The books won't tell you how to open it, Maia. Use both your hands and mind." I let out as I pick up again the document that I was reading earlier. Let's see if she can figure it out.

Kyria leans over the desk and picks up the small letter opener, using that to unlock and open the small drawer but making sure not to damage it in the process. Kyria sighs and relaxes just a little when she hears the soft click and can pull the drawer open. She riffles through the papers, folders and slim books until she uncovers Mane Beatrice's little black book. Kyria quickly skims through the pages until she finds the right information.
