She squeezed my hand and smiled at me. “Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be resolved.” I wanted her optimism because the future looked gray in my eyes. “The best thing would be to distract us a bit,” Suggesting that she took out her computer and started looking for a movie while I took my coffee little by little. My mom wrote me several messages asking me how I was doing so I assured her that everything was fine. I wasn't going to be home late because I didn't want to worry her.

Cheng stepped closer, placing the document in front of her. “Just sign here. The registrar will sign afterward. Then the marriage will officially be recognized.” Jenny stared at the paper. She saw his signature. Bold. Confident. Sharp strokes of ink that looked like they were carved rather than written.

I said, after some thought. "That's okay with me." He said. "Yes!" I said as I bounced up and down with excitement. Liam laughs. "You're cheery today." He states. "I'm always cheery." I reply. "Well, that's true, but you are more cheerier." He said. I giggle. "Liam, that is grammatically incorrect." He furrowed his eyebrows in a cute way. "What is?" He questions. "You already said 'cheerier', you didn't need to say 'more' before it." I explain.
