She moved deeper into the library, toward the older shelves at the very back where the books looked like they had not been touched in years. And then she saw it. It was a large book, wider than her arm's length and bound in something dark that looked like old leather. The writing on the spine was faded, the letters curled in an ancient style she almost could not read. But she made out two words clearly enough. Pack Origins. She pulled it from the shelf carefully, the way one would handle something that might fall apart if handled wrong. She carried it to the small reading table in the corner and set it down. The wood groaned under its weight.

She flipped the pages till she got to the last. “Now tired of living after living for so long, the Vampire Originals travelled into the desert where they have gotten their powers and fought against each other since only their fangs could truly hurt them. Their prince, Prince Edward,” Aliyah gasped when she read the name. ‘I am Prince Edward, the last remaining Original.’ She remembered his words from last night. Could it really be? But the book clearly said that they killed themselves.
