You see in the world I live in, there are many supernatural creatures with werewolves presently being at the top rank, next come the vampires, then the witches, and then you have my kind, the humans. We are the lowest in the ranking having no supernatural ability. With witches being almost extinct because the vampire army almost massacred them all, there was little to protect the human race from the wrath of the vampires. You see the witches were always on our side, but now fear has pushed them to live in isolation in the deepest parts of the most dangerous of forests. Long ago, we had an agreement with the werewolves and vampires in order to keep the peace. The rich humans would live a comfortable life with no fear of being eaten by the vampires and the poor were taken as slaves or used as breeders too keep the blood supply up.
