Nursing the Murderer Alpha King
Something that isn’t a sound exactly but registers in the chest, a settling, a recognition.
Submission.
Four wolves outside remembering who they belong to.
Rafe moves.
I nearly say his name, nearly step forward, and then I see what he’s doing. He crosses the foyer, past Vera, past Dante, and he stops in front of Vera and he turns to face Dante and he tilts his chin down.
Not deep. Just once. Deliberate.
My Alpha.
Vera looks at him. “Rafe.”
“He’s back,” Rafe says simply. “That’s all I ever wanted to know.”
