Sebas Tian's human-side struggles and sense of justice remain a humanizing counterpoint to Nazarick’s inhumanity.

Beyond the guardians, volume 17 brings in supporting political and regional characters who matter to the conclusion — those nobles, officers, and rivals who test Ainz’s rule and illuminate how the world has changed in response to Nazarick. Even if the spotlight stays on Ainz and the Great Tomb’s guardians, those peripheral figures help the finale land with proper scale. Reading it felt like watching a long campaign wrap up: familiar, sometimes bittersweet, and ultimately satisfying in how character threads were handled. I closed the book with a soft smile and a million thoughts about what each character’s future might quietly hold.
