He roared playfully, mimicking a little tiger, and Elianna couldn't help but laugh. He was her little protector, her little cotton-padded jacket! I brushed the thoughts, I'll just relax and enjoy tonight. My phone vibrated, bringing me back. A text from Owen. Owen: I’m outside. I froze, taking a moment. I exhaled, picked up my clutch and took one last look. As I walked out, the cool air hit me. Owen was leaning on his car. He smiled when he saw me. He wore a navy blue suit, no tie but he looked charming as always. “Zoe, you look…” he started, looking at me over then shook his head. “Beautiful.”

Somewhat annoyed that his point was not understood, Owen immediately diverted the conversation by kicking Eve out. "What's wrong with me? Why am I like this?" he continued muttering. "Guards?" he called out. And after one of his bodyguards arrived, Owen said again, "I want to get some wind outside. I'm bored inside." "Okay, boss. I'll find a wheelchair first," the bodyguard replied and within moments had returned with a wheelchair for Owen.

Owen also insisted that I get a two piece bikini for the pool this evening, something I was hesitant about but finally found one that I really liked. Little did I know that Owen had told the sales clerk to ring up everything that I tried on and had indicated that I liked but put back so what I thought was me just choosing a couple outfits turned into an almost entirely new wardrobe, something that I insisted was too much but he wouldn’t have it any other way.

"Let's go get lunch. I didn't get an opportunity to eat breakfast this morning." "Fine, but I want Italian." Owen replies quickly, grinning cheekily as I groan. "Again? That'll be the third time this week." I complain, though I know Owen won't budge. "And? It's a delicacy." Owen replies cheerfully, pulling off his thick black coat as he speaks. "And here, take this. It's freezing outside-why you women dress in dresses with no sleeves in this weather, I'll never know." "Weather is irrelevant. I dress like a Queen twenty-four seven." I reply with a sniff.

Owen chuckles while throwing on the borrowed clothes. “Yeah, I know her. Heck! Who in this pack doesn’t know ‘THEE’ Hazel Summers. Why? Do you?” I asked with a slight frown. I slip into an over-size t-shirt and running shorts to help take the chill of my body from the atmosphere around us and from the cold rain. “We’ve met.” He says stiffly.

(Flynn's POV) The sun baked my neck, but the sea breeze cut sharp. I paced the quarterdeck, watching the crew below in that restless stir that always comes with a fresh breeze and open water—long before any routine sets in. The smell of the docks still clung to some of them. Cleaner shirts, damp hair, and the sharp, sour tang of port-side perfume from the women they’d promised things to before disappearing. I was halfway to snapping at a deckhand for miscoiling a line when Owen appeared, making his way toward me with that look on his face—the one that usually meant he was about to piss in my rum.

Omega wanted to quickly get to its destination. The wind that blew in the afternoon should have chilled her because it was now winter. In addition, she only wore a red short-sleeved shirt tucked into black jeans without any jacket or coat. In fact, she didn't feel the cold that should have pierced her skin because all she could feel right now was an immense sense of longing, and intense joy filling her chest cavity.

Owen waved his hand, turned around obediently, and held Ivan's hand as they walked out together. As they left, Owen even reminded, "Daddy, don't be sad. I'll bring you here next time..." Ivan: "..." When did this kid see him being reluctant to let go? Owen was wearing Todd's pajamas while Ivan was still in yesterday's clothes. He had a severe case of cleanliness obsession and couldn't stand wearing the same clothes for two days in a row. He drove back to the Winston family. Just as the father and son walked into the villa, a figure came to greet them.

The maid nodded with a gentle smile and left. Owen turned back toward his wardrobe and opened it. Pulling out a crisp white shirt, he slid it on, buttoning it with practiced ease. A tailored black coat followed, fitting perfectly over his broad shoulders, and then he stepped into his black jeans, the entire outfit striking the perfect balance of sleek and effortless. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror, running a hand through his dark hair. He looked devilishly handsome, the kind of man who could make hearts stutter with a single glance and tonight, only Aurora’s reaction mattered.
