Queen of Wolves
Barefoot, heart racing, breath tearing from my lungs, I followed the sound to the edge of the training grounds.
And then I saw them.
Four warriors.
One omega.
What was left of them, anyway.
My feet froze. My body locked. My mind refused to understand what my eyes were seeing.
They were torn apart. Not killed cleanly. Not swiftly. Bodies twisted at unnatural angles. Claw marks carved deep, deliberate grooves into flesh. One warrior’s throat was nearly gone. Another’s chest had been ripped open like someone wanted to see what was inside.
The omega lay a few feet away, eyes wide, mouth frozen in a silent scream.
