Miral spoke in a loud tone. Aditya looked at her, eager to hear her words. Miral walked towards him, standing in front of him, at a distance of no more than an inch, peering into his eyes with sheer confidence. "I am an MLA now, so remember one thing. If you cross your limits, I will crumble you like a piece of paper, and you know now, I am that powerful. You were the one who gave the idea of this power to me," she spoke in a threatening tone.

Geeze, I was going to get myself in trouble if I kept making words up and guessing names. The scruffy guy grinned. "Not sexily is the key part of that phrase. We're all packmates, which means we're brothers. Jesse trusts us, but not infinitely. If we hit on you, he'd still try to kill us." So theoretically… I could get myself out of Moon Ridge by kissing his packmates so the wolf attacked them. It wasn't the most ethical plan I'd ever had, but it could save my life from a bunch of werewolves, so I'd roll with it.

Gamma Eric slowly nodded his head. “It's not what you expected, but I have brought you the news I have just received. It has HER involvement.” Gamma Eric replied in a low tone. It intrigued the Alpha king. “Well, then! Tell me, whatever it is.” Alpha King asked in excitement. “I just received a letter from Loid Lunero Cougar. He is rebuilding his mother's pack, the Moonstone pack.” Gamma Eric informed the Alpha king. “And how does it involve Miss Woods?” Alpha King asked curiously.

To the Triquetra? The confliction of loyalty between mate and pack was a difficult one. On one hand, mate outweighed pack, but on the other Talen wasn’t officially a mate until they accepted each other and formalized it with ceremony, and therefore the pack technically should have Heath’s priority. “F-king hell,” he complained under his breath and forced himself to finish his shower. He wasn’t going to betray Talen.

“And what about those who don’t want peace? Those who can’t picture wolves and humans working together?” Lucan’s jaw tensed, but his gaze stayed steady. “No one’s forced to stay,” he said. “But anyone who remains has to respect the new order. This is a pack, not a battlefield. We rebuild together—or you leave.” Several wolves nodded, shoulders losing some of their stiffness. A handful, however, threw uneasy glances around before slipping away toward the trees. I recognized them as Vrax’s staunchest supporters—wolves who would never align themselves with Lucan’s vision.

Reaper and Becca were expecting their first pup within the month, and as cranky as Becca was, and as much as Reaper complained to the guys, he loved every minute of being a mate and, soon, a father. Gamma Pine and Robbie were enjoying their roles as the fun uncles. Neither one was in a hurry to have pups, but they had decided that if the right orphan came along, like Parker and Delilah had for Carter and Lindy, they would not hesitate. They planned to enjoy their quiet moments until the Goddess placed a new opportunity in their paths when the time was right. As for the Pack, despite the name, The Slaughter Lamb Pack, it has expanded to just under a thousand pack members in the last four year

“You’ll do what I say. Do you have any idea who this Alpha is? He’s rich. He’s powerful. He’ll make you live in palaces and give you anything you want.” I sank back onto the bed, curling up as tears ran down my face. Because I knew the truth. That Alpha didn’t want a Luna. He only wanted a mistress. He would break me, humiliate me, use me until nothing was left. His name was Marcus. Alpha of the Golden Sun Pack. The strongest. The cruelest. Why was Ria like this? “Who are the Sister Packs? And how does this help us in fighting against Alpha Cedric?” My father leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples as he gathered his thoughts. “Crimson, Red Dawn, Moonlit, and Shadow Claw,” he began, his tone grave. “It’s been passed down as a legend among our packs that four packs that originated from one central pack, The Crimson Moon. Due to territorial clashes, these packs agreed to be split up, this treaty was created to ensure peace among them. But no one from this pack has seen the treaty in about an entire centuries, until now.”
