Whoever it was under the sack, the person wasn't moving much, though their shoulders twitched as if they were trying to wriggle free. He shook his head, as if to say, after all these years, your judgment is still as poor as ever. He pulled out a stack of documents and threw them at Hunter. “Take a look. Illegal drugs, unauthorized trades, trafficking women—any one of these is enough to get you killed multiple times. I’ve come under the Alpha King’s orders to eliminate this pack’s cancer. You.” Hunter snatched the documents. His face went pale. His fists clenched, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

Having so many Packs in one place, with Alphas and Lunas, makes Galas a key target by Rogues. Fortunately, Rogue activity has been low, owing to the strong alliance we have among our Packs. Only allied Packs are invited to the Mates Gala. As we arrive at the Pack house, I see the Alpha and Luna of the Oak Point Pack waiting on the stairs to greet us.
