The Dragons of Edon

The Dragons of Edon

With great dread he turned back to the fight still raging below. His heart nearly stopped as he saw Pylos go down, impaled on a Goblin spear. His father leapt from the saddle, laying about him with his blade, ending many Goblin lives. Still there were too many. His armor protected him briefly, as it had his fellow Knights, but against so many blades even the armor of a Grenyaar can be rent. Randey screamed out, “Father!”, but in his heart he knew there was no hope. Reidar Edal vanished beneath a heap of clawing, stabbing Goblin foes.

Fantasy's Eden

Fantasy's Eden

It was little comfort to know though that he was held in the hands of human monsters that would attack people innocently just trying to survive in an already harsh world. Tatiana had not been at the compound when it was attacked. Her instincts were rarely wrong and now in this moment I realized that I had to trust them like never before. Even so, I was going to be doing a lot of praying. Realizing the inevitable, but seeing no choice around it I lifted my hands up to a face so like my own and said as a tear rolled down my cheek, “Go then, my brave girl and do what you can to save your father. But you must promise me this. Your father is a warrior and he like me, well, we have truly lived our

The Pales

The Pales

He travels alone mostly, at the start he traveled in groups of survivors of twenty to thirty people but they all succumbed to becoming food of the Pales. Eight years ago, western society as we knew it collapsed due to the sudden appearance of the Pales. These terrifying creatures stood at a height of eight feet and were equipped with claws capable of tearing their prey apart. They initially swarmed cities in large numbers, feeding and causing destruction wherever they went.

The Paladin

The Paladin

“To the stables, princess. From there we will rally my men to the barracks.” “And you briefed the lieutenant of this?” “Yes,” Falstad nodded. By the time they have reached the castle’s courtyard, many survivors; knights and servants have gathered together, and are about to depart. “Halt!” He yelled, calling for the highest-ranked person in the survivors. A thin young man stepped forward, introducing himself as a knight captain of the kingdom’s army as well as a hereditary baron in rank. His eyes glistened when he saw the princess, thanking Holus for protecting the last royalty. The knights and servants alike cheered, though, for some, it turned solemn the moment Falstad demanded authority ov

Her Worst Nightmare

Her Worst Nightmare

My father's enemies could have kept my mother imprisoned for eternity, compelling her to protect them, whether she wanted to or not. He reached out and linked his fingers with mine, the pad of his thumb brushing over the thin skin of my wrist. 'So, you see, if I say that I'm afraid there's no doubt of what you truly are, it's because I am afraid. You just became the most powerful maledicti in existence. You're an Endorian, Casey, and the likes of Blake would happily sacrifice half his loyal followers just to gain control of you.' My trembling breath whistled out through my clenched teeth.

The Protégé

The Protégé

As soon as the crisp applause fell, four more people jumped out from all directions. The first one to bear the brunt was a white man. He looked young, less than 20 years old, and seemed to be the same age as Starsoul. On his armor, there were three golden stars embroidered on it. Yang Xiao recognized at a glance that he should be the third Paladin of the Holy Court of Europe. The next one to land was a black man with four stars embroidered on his chest, the Fourth Paladin. Then there was a pair of twin sisters. There were five and eight golden stars embroidered on their chests respectively. They should be the fifth Paladin and the eighth Paladin of the Holy Court of Europe.

I get the holidays are here and it can make things a little hectic. But all the more reason to try and get those chapters out ahead of time as we all would like to continue reading. However at this rate it seems you may lose followers of the book and the money you get by them supporting your novel.

The Eclipse Secret Child

The Eclipse Secret Child

Kaelen said, "not to a throne, not to a lineage, but to the Balance, I spent my life trying to be the Sun, Vesper, I forgot that the sun only exists to help things grow." I felt a shift in the child’s aura behind me, Lucian wasn't afraid, he let out a soft, melodic coo, and a thread of pure silver-gold light traveled from the cradle, across the plaza, and touched Kaelen’s forehead. A brand appeared on Kaelen’s skin, not a mark of slavery, but a shimmering, twin-ringed eclipse, "The first Solar Paladin," the Lunar Seer whispered from the edge of the crowd, her voice full of awe, "the Sun has finally found its shadow, he is the shield of the Eclipse."

Falling for the Vampire Prince

Falling for the Vampire Prince

Dahlia, who had surprisingly not sent a death glare my way (I could’ve sworn she hated me) brought out what looked like a knife from the sack she was holding. “Endgame,” Dahlia started. “That’s the name of the knife. It’s a relic of the Diafor mages that can stop even the strongest of witches. One pierce to the heart and Drisellda would be gone for good.” I looked at Prince Dante from the corner of my eye. I prayed, for the first time in a long time, that he would have the strength to hang in there for just a little while longer. “What’s the plan?” “Dahlia and I were skeptical about bringing Endgame but we had no other option. If we drive this object into Drisellda’s heart, we may kill Emily

Guardian Dragon

Guardian Dragon

“But he did. You see, I have the ability to turn back time. Another has the ability to see the future. Amongst us, there are those that can do a lot more than just that. There is even one of us that can release your Dragon. With our abilities combined, we can put an end to the council, but we don’t because as much as everyone hates us, we still honor the Dragon Code.” My eyes bulged at Trenton and for the first time in a long time, I felt as if there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Even if Cyran hadn’t liked it when I went on my three-month hiatus, I was glad I had. Because of that, I was able to meet the very ones who could put an end to all of this. “I…” Cyran seemed to be at a loss

The Forsaken’s Weapon

The Forsaken’s Weapon

That would be the last time. My saving grace came from the same lawyer that lost my case ten years ago. He called up one day, saying he felt guilty. That I was the first case he ever took and he believed me when I said I didn't do it, he just couldn't prove it. He did now, although I'm not sure how. But I suppose lies crumble if you shine a bright enough light on them. There certainly was less resistance this time. Commander Campbell had retired and Reed had taken his place shortly. And now, Reed was Deputy Governor Campbell, someone who wouldn't bother with such a thing, powerful and untouchable.
