In his arms

In his arms

You were the shadow to my light, but did you see me, did you feel me bleed? A stranger, I'm just a stranger outside looking in at you smothered in other people's prints and right now I need a miracle I think I'm losing my mind now, set me free don't murder me, don't watch me bleed. Don't let me bleed out on the floor." April knew the song was in its rough stages, and there were many nights ahead working with the band to polish it before she was to be put on display, singing her heart out. A part of April wondered if Zade heard her music, had he figured out the lyrics were about him?

THE SUBSTITUTE MATE FOR THE ALPHA KING

THE SUBSTITUTE MATE FOR THE ALPHA KING

The grey wave hit the wall of our shared memory and stopped. The Source’s blank face tilted. The pulsing in its chest stuttered. For a second, it just… froze. It couldn't solve it. It couldn't simplify it. Our story had no clean logic. It was a paradox. And for the first time, the anti-paradox had no answer. “Now!” I screamed. And from the shadows, Silas played his note. Not dissonance. Not noise. The single, pure, heartbreaking melody of Kairi’s old, off-key tune. The song of a private, human thought. A feeling with no purpose other than to be.

No Return

No Return

The song belonged to a Brazilian band called Paralamas and the title was something like The Beacon of the Drowning. He bent an arm under his head to read the lyrics a couple of times before playing the song. It was an early 90’s rock ballad, simple and sweet, with a soul, like all the music she liked. Jim smiled with the last notes of the song she wanted him to listen to only hours before meeting again. And it wasn’t a song she could’ve sung to him, but the other way around.

Return of the CEO's Empress

Return of the CEO's Empress

You're like a drug that's killing me I cut you out entirely But I get so high when I'm inside you Yeah you can start over you can run free You can find other fish in the sea You can pretend it's meant to be But you can't stay away from me I can still hear you making that sound Taking me down rolling on the ground You can pretend that it was me But no, oh Baby, I'm preying on you tonight Hunt you down eat you alive Just like animals Animals... This song was a curse to her ears. That demon who had ruined her sang it every time he unleashed his wrath on her. He would make her endure each and every lashing with those sadistically smiling eyes... "This song is my favourite now Alexandra, you know

The Adventure of August in Pandora’s World- English

The Adventure of August in Pandora’s World- English

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song I have faith in what I see Now I know I have met an angel in person And she looks perfect I don't deserve this You look perfect tonight... I was in awe. When the song ended. I heard every bit of the song and its lyrics and I also memorized the lyrics of the song. But why different? It was not original. It was more like he interchanged the lyrics. But maybe it's just the lyrics of the song here. But what the fuck? I still can't believe that they have an earth song here on pandora.

The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

The Cruel Alpha's Unwanted Bride

The familiar feel of the keys under my fingertips is comforting. Taking a deep breath, I begin to play my second favorite song. Lost Girls. The notes flow effortlessly, each one resonating with the emotions swirling within me. As the melody fills the room, I feel a tear escape and slide down my cheek. This song has always been special to me, a reflection of my journey and my struggles. It carries the weight of my past and the hope of my future. My number one favorite song doesn’t hold hope, but Lost Girls does. Because the rawness in the lyrics and beats, they start out sad, and it only seems like it can only get sadder. Then the chorus towards the end, before the final lines... gives you ho

The man is so cruel and mean. I really don't understand Avery. She seems like an intelligent person but she is a pushover unfortunately. I'll keep reading though, hoping she becomes fierce and kicks his ass.

Here to correct a review I mistakenly left for a different book with a similar premise. As far as THIS novel, the author really does a great job writing in a way that makes you feel like you're there. The FL is pathetic at times, but likeable as hell. The ML though? Pathetic is an understatement lol

I hope hell rains on her so called family haha the heroine's character is to my liking, feels like she'll give you a chance but if you missed it then sorry bish. not too tough but still firm. will stick to that kind of heroine, keep it up author, hope you don't turn her into a future love-brain ...

This book is highly recommended. It is humorous, suspense but what I like most is the FL unique characteristics n ML's over protective towards Suzie. I spend most of my bonuses reading this story ONLY. N my votes go to this story ONLY. Cos I value loyal n trustworthy r/ship the most.

Ember To My Flame

Ember To My Flame

He first gave me a weird look but then soon brought a glass of some strong alcohol. His bar was crowded than usual. I asked him the reason to which he replied there was an event because of which everyone gathered. I drank half bottle in no time and just then the host of the night announced that someone will be singing a song. And when the song started it only increased my pain. ****** SONG SEQUENCE STARTS****** phirta rahoon dar badar (I wander from door to door) milta nahi tera nishaan (yet I don't find any sign of yours)

The Billionaire's Illegitimate Daughter

No, I'm not. "Alright. This song was requested by my sister, so here we go..." Then Jazmin strums the guitar with a single stroke down, signaling that they will begin singing. The crowd fell silent. One, two, three, four Ooh, ooh Every time you come around, you know I can't say no Every time the sun goes down, I let you take control I can feel the paradise before my world implodes And tonight had something wonderful

The Witch's Bottle

The Witch's Bottle

My lover's got humor - She's the giggle at a funeral - Knows everybody's disapproval - I should've worshiped her sooner - Take me to church - I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies - I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife - Offer me that deathless death - Good God, let me give you my life. A chill shot down my spine. This was a cruel joke someone was playing on me. Casper was dead and Werner was in jail. Who could have known this was the song, the words repeated during Casper's murder? Only The Marine and I were there. ESU, Major Case, none of them could have heard Werner's song of despair from outside the door. I didn't want Max to know. I shook my head making a si
