I’m behaving as if at any moment, I’ll throw myself out the window just so that I can understand what’s going on.
“I’m sorry I scared you,” I say as I take a seat again, trying to keep myself as still as possible.
“It’s fine, now let’s try to figure it out, be open-minded about it.” He crouches down in front of me, as he speaks, but when he talks about open-mindedness, he looks at Collins and Tali, and from the corner of my eye, I see Tali nod in understanding.
“So, what you’re saying is that you woke up one night about three days ago, and felt someone in your room, and you smelt something horrible, like death, and you’ve been scared and jumpy, ever since, paranoid.”
