A knock sounds at the door just as I zip my coat, always punctual. I pick up my phone and drop it in the coat pocket, I walk out. Norman stands by the door, hands in the pocket of his short pants, a few buttons of his shirt undone. I don’t blink, I don’t say a thing, I don’t move my legs, I feel rooted to the floor. He looks so fucking, dangerously, tempting handsome. Both the short and shirt are black, his forearms, exposed and ripped in thick bulging veins. Just how hot can a man get at fifty?

I prepared myself for their attack. I don't want to die! I will never let them touch me! "Oh wow, you are right. Following her to the door, I cursed at my crutches and damn ankle, wishing I could do without them. “He's such an idiot. He's going to get an earful from me when he wakes up,” I said as she drove out of the compound, hot on the ambulance's trail. “All he wanted was a peaceful meeting, but he got hurt instead. You can't save everyone when you're not superman.” “Why did they take Norman?” “His blood pressure rose up due to shock.” A fresh wave of tears struck me, and I sucked in a deep breath. “So he did it for nothing, then? Him saving that despicable man was just for nothing. Two losses in one night”

Vivienne instinctively turned her head, only to find a stranger standing behind her. The man had a thin figure, with deeply sunken cheeks that made him appear malnourished. What made Vivienne uncomfortable was the man's eyes, cloudy orbs staring directly at her. "You must be Vivienne," the man spoke again. Vivienne replied cautiously, "No, I don't know any Vivienne." "If you're not Vivienne, then why did you turn around?" the man questioned.

The snake-like hissing wiggles into my thoughts. But I ignore it, focused on staring into space and just dreading my current state in life. “Psst… Freya.” The annoying voice whispers incessantly. Norman is my partner for the class we presently are in. Annoying, loud with a mouth that just doesn’t know when to shut up was just a quick summary of his obnoxious personality.

Her knees buckled in fear, and she dropped on the ground, trembling, though it was hard to tell if she was feeling cold or Norman scared her. Despite the close shave, Norman's expression was calm. As a warrior who had made a name for himself with the triumphs in his courtroom, he had a poker face that kept him from being expressive as the average person. However, when he looked into the girl's eyes for a few seconds, his eyes soon widened, his pupils dilating. Those eyes looked just like Dacey Moran's. Norman's eyes flashed coldly just from remembering the woman, albeit just for a second, as he soon calmed down.

Tanner was all ears and was not even surprised when I breathed out Veronica and Malia's names as two of Norman's mistresses. "Get your dirty hands from her if I were you, Tanner!" A loud and furious voice, out of the blue, grumbled in the room. Everything in the medical kit was scattered on the tiled floor when Norman grabbed my hand and pulled me to his side. Then imagine my surprise when he punched Tanner in the face. Hard enough he stumbled and plummeted to the floor. "I already warned you to stay away from Yvanna, you son of a corrupt officer!" Norman yelled angrily as he pointed a finger at Tanner. "Hold him!" he ordered his security guards which they obeyed right away.

Was this the kind of smile he gave his victims before he slaughtered them? A few seconds passed before he finally sat up, giving me a little bit of space. I was too scared to move.
