Sora tilted her head back, gazing up at the velvet-blue night sky, and let out a soft sigh. If Leo ever asked about it in the future, how was she supposed to answer? She couldn't keep using the old excuse that he had fallen out of a spaceship from outer space—even if that little white lie had made Leo incredibly smug for a while. It was a woman, her skin mapped with glowing white veins that matched the color of her eyes. She wore a tattered Lagos-style headwrap, but it was reinforced with carbon-fiber plating. "We are the ones your mother forgot to finish," she said, her voice a hollow, metallic echo. "They call me Sora. And if you’re wearing that stone, it means the countdown has already begun."

I dropped our stuffs on the ground, moving behind Sora whose shoulders relaxed a little when it felt my heat as my breath softly touched his blushing ears. "Open your eyes." That simple command had Sora taking off the blindfold carefully as he blinked. His eyes slowly looked up, leaving him speechless as his heart tripped in excitement. "It's... It's..." He paused as he slowly turned his back, tears falling down his cheeks. "Beautiful. Aurora Borealis is most beautiful phenomenon I've ever laid eyes on. Thank you."
