Ruth sat with us, sipping herbal tea, while Janet leaned back, her legs crossed, looking like she owned the place. "It was such a wild night, wasn't it, Reign?" Janet said, her eyes flickering toward Emma. "I’ve never had someone so... intense. It’s like he was trying to work out seven years of frustration in a few hours. My back is still sore." And Pete had offered her his own milk instead, because he wanted her to stop crying. He didn't like anyone crying. Then he went ahead and told her that, she could have his milk, because she was crying because of her milk.

Kyle said as he turned to Eva and Elle nodded "I'm not your pet Kyle" Eva said and Kyle smiled "Okk..Since you are not my pet, stop your nose bleed yourself" He said about to walk back to the kitchen when Eva said "Fine, fine, fine. I'm your Pet" Kyle had a small smile on his face when he heard her and said "Not convincing enough". Eva sighed and said in a playful voice "I'm your Pet. Your one and only Pet". Kyle smirked and walked towards her and held her hand as he went to where he kept the first aid.

Pete’s name flashed on my screen, so I answered it. “What’s up, bro?” “Who is she?” Pete asked, his voice hesitant. He was the most sensitive of us all and though he would do anything for either me or Ron, he respected people’s privacy, if they deserved it. But only if they deserved it. “She’s our next Laura, Pete, I just know she is. I just have to get her to stop and talk to me for more than 30 seconds and she won’t sit still.” I said with a soft laugh and glanced around. I’d walked over to a quiet copse of maple trees, ready to talk but needing privacy.

“Then why are you so hesitant to tell me?” Kate looked away from his deep brown eyes that she thought was going to swallow her any minute from now as she thought of an excuse to make. “I was thinking of a pet I had back home” The pet she was talking about was her cute white furry dog, fluffy. Whenever things was hard for her back there at the club, fluffy would always come and comfort her rubbing her head against the length of her legs. This was the first time since she’d escaped that she thought back to that hell hole she’d ran away from. Now that she thought about it, John was so much like fluffy.

When those eyes land on me, I feel my heart skip. "At least one of us looks good," she comments weakly. "What's wrong, Becca? Your billionaire don't love you no more?" My insides twist and I prepare myself for the rest of the words. "I've been forced to watch the news for three whole years. Wow. You've been doing well, huh. Being a pet-" "You should get something to eat," I turn to leave, the room suddenly feels too hurt. I've forgotten how blunt and harsh her words can be.

Simon notices my uneasiness and his voice is sharp as he asks, “Don’t you have better things to do, Mr. Pete?” His eyes don’t move from me as he says, “Nothing is more important than entertaining the beautiful lady.” Pete takes in a deep breath and he says, “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever smelt a scent quite like yours, Penelope. It’s absolutely delectable.” My nose scrunches up in distaste at his words and Vince says, “We should go on that walk, Penelope.” I nod as I move to stand up and Pete stands with us and says, “There’s a spot I’d love to show you, Penelope.”

“Is my fan club staying upstairs in the Inn?” As he started stocking the refrigerator under the bar, Pete shook his head. “Nah. Said him and his mates are staying up on the glacier at a hunting cabin. Some big game kill of a lifetime thing or something.” As last night’s events came back to him, Pete looked at the stack of papers on the counter. “Hold on…he gave me a card to give you. Said you’d know exactly why he was here.” Looking through the bills, Pete clicked his tongue. “There it is. Mitchell Riley, Jr. Fantasy Creature Sport Association.”
