After staring at him for an awkward few minutes, Eve nods her head in agreement and they both vanish without a word. “What is in this book?” I ask, turning my attention back to my terrified sister. She gives me a look that makes it seem like the answer should be obvious. “The book contains the answers to Rieka’s past.” ‘Athena’s diary.’ Rieka says in my mind, her excitement growing as the memory of the book suddenly appears in our mind. ‘The key to changing our future is understanding our past.’ These are Rieka’s last words before she disappears in my mind, returning to the darkness that she spends most of her time in these days.
