A slow, delicious smile stretched across my lips. Now this was going to be fun.

'Dude, you just posted a pic of yourself in sweats, smoking with the biggest fucking smile, so spill! I bark out a laugh at her text. 'Nothing to say, just woke up in a good mood.' I reply with a kiss and a smiley emoji. Let's see if she can guess. A minute passes when I hear a ping. 'Hold it, that's not just a “good mood”, THAT’S FUCKING AFTERGLOW!!! Holy fucking shit balls!! FUCKING FINALLY!!' Her text makes me laugh out loud as I finish my smoke and head back inside to get ready because my 20 minutes are up when another ping chimes.

Something warm and involuntary, the specific expression of someone who has been surprised into a feeling they were not performing, the best kind of smile because it arrived before the person decided to have it.
