Pastel Light Blue Aesthetic Novels & Stories

From left to right was the pale gray-white, it was for maximum brightness. Next the cool light gray with just a hint of blue giving it a slightly warmer color. Last was the warmer grainge, the compromise darker beige color. My intention was to give Isla the spectrum of light, not just the endless void of her chosen darkness.

I looked around. Olivia's place was posh–er than I imagined. She seemed to favour the white colour as everything in her living room was in shades of white, silver and ivory, except her ceiling that was painted the lightest blue colour. The blue so light, it was almost white. A pretty big and dystopian inspired chandelier hung from her ceiling and lighted up the room along with other little light fixtures in the ceiling. Her walls were silver and almost glittered like a million glitter had been painted into the walls.

“The next season’s theme is going to be something incredibly close to the heart. We’re moving into a softer, more poetic space… a collection inspired by nature’s quiet strength.” He paused and looked over the crowd like he was letting everyone in on a precious secret. “We’re exploring elements like pastel stones, soft curves, dew-like shimmer on surface cuts. Think hydrangea flowers—delicate but full of depth. We’re talking light blues, lavenders, hints of pearly green. The kind of beauty that whispers, not shouts,” Ethan said. As soon as those words left his mouth, my breath caught in my throat. Hydrangeas. Pastels. Shimmering dew.

Willa followed me to the other room. “I will.” I picked up the color palette on the floor. The blanket Mom and I used days ago was still there. “So, did you pick a color?” “Mom and I chose these colors. These three types of blue, and I was thinking pastel if we’re having a girl.” “I will give you something.” She joined me on the blanket. “You don’t have to.” “I know, but it’s for the nursery. I’ll give it to you once it’s ready.” She picked up the pink palettes. “I like vanilla ice, azalea, linen, and—”

She armed herself with her tablet and began searching the internet for inspiration, sitting comfortably on the living room sofa. "Let's see, let's see..." she muttered to herself, sliding her fingers across the screen. "What color palette would be perfect for our little ones? Something inspiring tranquility, but also joy." Sitting beside her, Bianca watched her with a smile. Lorena's energy was contagious. "Maybe pastel tones... mint green, soft yellow, sky blue for the boy and dusty pink for the girl," Bianca suggested, her voice full of sweetness as she imagined her babies' room.

Madeline’s POV The bedroom was cozy and comfortable. The space was decorated in a simple yet elegant style, with a soothing color palette of light beige and soft blue. The walls were painted in a light shade of beige, creating a calming backdrop for the room. The colors reminded me of summer. I felt like I was on a beach. The bed was the centerpiece of the room, with a plush duvet and a multitude of pillows inviting you to sink in and relax. The headboard was a sleek and modern design, upholstered in a textured blue fabric that added a touch of sophistication to the room.

Vera and Elara are now locked in a passive-aggressive war over the color palette. "It's about dynasty, Killian!" My mother declared during a particularly brutal dinner debate. "The baby needs heritage! Not some stark, Scandinavian prison!" "It's about functionality and safety, Amelia," Nova countered calmly from her end of the table, looking incredibly relaxed. "And the minimalist design reduces clutter, which reduces stress." "We'll compromise," Vera snapped, pushing her kale salad around her plate. "We'll do a sleek Scandinavian design, but we'll use a traditional Ashford blue. I already vetoed Elara’s suggestion of beige."

I could see the room clearly, the light coming through them in the afternoon— What color. I stopped. I reached again, harder, the way you press on a bruise to make sure it still hurts, still means something. Blue. They were blue. I was almost sure. Except the more I looked at them in my head, the more the blue seemed to shift, seemed to slide toward grey, toward something without a color at all, like paint drying wrong, like a photograph left too long in the sun. I tried green.

She concluded as she turned around and left. "Hey Olivia come with me". She called out to one of the designers who followed behind her "You know Brianna doesn't fancy such bright colors, pink is a no-no". Gema said to one of the designers. "I think it'll be fancier with the lighting if you use light blue like it's fancy and also a little fancier, it's not too outstanding do you understand". "Yes, ma'am". She nodded as she ordered her other co-workers. Gema took a look outside as she came closer it was perfect.

Lucian blurted out as he stared at his bathroom; he almost mistook it for a queen's chamber. The bathroom was a serene sanctuary, adorned in soothing tones of blue and white. The walls, painted in a calming shade of sky blue, reflected the soft morning light that seeped in through a frosted window, casting a gentle glow across the room. The floor, tiled in pristine white, felt cool beneath Lucian’s feet as he stepped inside.
