KATELYN'S POV ♡♡♡ "Okay, kids, make sure not to let go of your partners' hands, alright? Always keep an eye on where Teacher Kate is going, got it?" I asked my adorable students as they held hands and lined up in front of me. "Yes, Teacher Katelyn!" they all replied in unison, and we began our tour inside the zoo. It was their field trip today, and this was our second destination. We had previously visited an art museum, and now we were exploring the zoo.

Katie Winters had the kind of laugh that filled a room—warm, genuine, without pretense. Emma found herself smiling in response as Katie described her five-year-old's recent dinosaur obsession. "He corrects the museum guides," Katie said, eyes crinkling with amusement. "They're very patient with him." They sat in a quiet corner of a café near Massachusetts General, where Katie worked as a pediatric nurse. For their first meeting, Emma had suggested somewhere casual rather than the sterile agency offices.

“Let’s go.” **** Susan Tierney jumped to her feet when Katie appeared in the visitor’s lounge. Her daughter was even more beautiful than she remembered, and for a few seconds, Susan just took her in. Katie’s face was more rounded, her hair longer, her eyes bigger. She was wearing almost no makeup, and she was so bright and vibrant, it was almost palpable.

Chris’ POV We searched the whole of Kate’s house, we found nothing. As we were about to rearrange her stuff he head a knock on the door. It was the pretty boy detective. “Don’t make trouble with him, let’s move,” said Tanner. So we left through the back window. Emma’s POV I finished my morning patrol, so I decided to check in on Kate. When I got to her apartment, I knocked she wasn’t answering ,so I tried to open the door that was when I saw that the lock was undone.

Before I could say a word, Katie got in her face. "Listen here, I don't care how entitled you think you are, and I don't care if your mommy and daddy fix all your problems. BUT LET ME GET ONE THING CLEAR." Her voice rose in her anger that seemed to rise fast. "I WILL be the Luna here very soon. YOU will respect me or I will see that mommy and daddy can't stop what will come." Justices bright blue eyes were twice their size as she stood in shock. Her glossed lips hanging open. When Katie turned around her eyes were swirling with green that seemed to glow. I could feel such a dark hatred through our bond, and honestly it worried me.

She smiled atop her nest of bones, her pet still huddled between her hiked-up legs. “Keep away,” Katie warned him, voice shaky. “Take the dog, and get back. Please. Keep away from here.” She blinked tears from her eyes, her hair bristling. They retreated, even as the air around Katie began to crackle, little sparks of static electricity dancing between her fingers. She trembled uncontrollably. Seeing this, the lurid smile fell apart on Glee’s face. “I told you,” said Katie, “to stop it . . . ”

“Seems like it is going to be a huge rainfall.” I cursed silently and ran out of the house. It was the wrong time for rain to fall. Why was nature against me all of a sudden? Katie came from a long time of medical werewolves. She was the first werewolf in her family to break the tradition. She had joined the Delta Force as a Cadet and she was the first person that I was partnered to. Katie was excellent at close quarter combats with a dangerousknowledge and expertise on pressure points. She could paralyze anyone in seconds with a few strikes of her fingers and palm.

They are both super nice and kind to me. Katie I learned has just turned 18 and she wants to become a nurse. She is supposed to go to a training at another pack, but hasn’t received her approval letter yet. With her personality, I know she will make a great nurse. She is always hoping she meets her mate soon. She is very excited about it. I know whoever her mate is will be very lucky. She is beautiful with her strawberry blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. I even catch warriors looking at her often, but she never notices.

She probably won't even notice it, with the amount my brothers will love her. I shift and return to the woods. I run the border again and again. I know that even on her birthday, Katie always does a patrol run whether she wants to or not; it allows her to clear her head and give her wolf a good run as it is the only time she can run without one of us with her. I smile as I pick up her scent. I follow her for a while and make sure she is on her own, as I don't want to be seen by either my brothers or another patrol.

She bites her lower lip— white teeth sinking into red flesh— then turns, smiling at the bartender. "Whisky please. Rocks." Her gaze returns to me, and she raises her eyebrows. "Make that two," I say, not leaving her gaze. A minute later he places the drinks in front of us, her hand immediately reaching out to bring it to her lips. "Katherine," she says after taking a slow sip, "but my friends call me Kat." "Adam, but everyone calls me Emilio." "I think I'll stick with Adam," she replies haughtily, daring me to tell her otherwise. I lean in closer to her, trailing her body with my eyes again. I can't stop looking at her legs. She notices, and again raises an eyebrow.
