There was no challenge, no ire, nothing in Porcius that would mean he readied himself for a blow or to be accosted. He drank more and yawned. “I had a rough night, not as rough as ol’ Lucius by the look of him.”
August said steadily, “His head came back via Rufus, who has met with Drust, wizard of the druids or whatever they are.”
Porcius looked over at the Celtic youth, sitting on the ground on the opposite side of the tent. “Yeah? Drust sent the soul of one of us back, huh?”
