They’re South Sea saltwater pearls. Natural ones of this size are rare these days." Then she turned to me with that same gentle expression. "Eve, which set do you like?"

“What is your name?” She smiled softly. “Pearl.” I swallowed. “That is my name.” She blinked in confusion. “I know. That is why Mother said we share it. Because we share a purpose. Two halves of the same whole.” Her words were gentle. Hopeful. Completely wrong. Moana let out a small cry. “Mother. You did not tell her.” Valery ignored her. Harold rubbed his forehead. “This is insane. What is going on.” Valery’s voice sharpened. “Enough. Pearl left. She had to fill up your duties”

“Since Camala has shared her gift, Kessi, why don’t you go next? You are the second consort after all.” Kessi leans in to whisper to her Lardin, who immediately leaves the gazebo. When she returns, she carries several small jewelry boxes. Each consort is handed one, the boxes varying in color. We all open our gifts at the same time, and a low buzz of excitement fills the Gazebo as we take in the stunning pearl bracelets that sparkle in the sunlight. Pearl sucked everything in as she had Iris finish zipping it.

Pearl bit her nails resentfully in her room, unable to let things go too far and unwilling to let Max resent her. In the evening, Pearl knew Max would be working late due to his job. As Pearl settled onto his back, she wrapped her arms tightly around Eden's shoulders, her legs extending across his thighs. Eden's hands instinctively came up to support her legs, securing her firmly in place. "Are you comfortable?" he asked, his voice low and soothing.

A smile bloomed like a flower on her face. Before lunch time, after Jade's last consultation her phone rang. She answered it right away when she saw that the caller was Colton. "Hey, any good news," excitement was filling her system. "Pearl and I are married," Colton's voice hid nothing about how happy he was. "That's fast! Anyway, congratulations!" Jade said with a joyous shriek. "Thanks for helping me, lil sissy," Colton already exhausted all he could do to get Pearl. But with the simple thing Jade told, Pearl said yes to him and was ready to marry him.
