Percy And Annabeth Fall Into Tartarus Novels & Stories

I remember Allana explaining that Fae, with potent magic and vampires, could mist, teleporting people. Picking up the bucket, I slowly head back to the cabin. I miss Skyla already. She made what little life we had here bearable. Once inside, I bar the door and lock the windows; crawling into bed, my mind races as I think of the repercussions I can expect when they realize Skyla is not here. I cry myself to sleep, wishing I had been able to go with them. I groan as I wake, seeing the sunrise coming quickly. Once dressed, I make my way towards the palace grounds; hearing Athena's voice, I stop.

If you resist, your divine bones will be destroyed, and you will be cast from the Starfall Spire. As he finished speaking, two squads of celestial soldiers stepped forward. No matter how glorious the two men had once been, they no longer dared to resist. They cast one final look at us before leaving. Azena and I held each other's hands tightly, feeling finally truly at peace. Our previous lives were worse than a nightmare. After Guerrian and Dexaldir's sentence, Azena took over the God of War position, becoming the only Goddess of War of the Celestial Skies.

“Gods don’t die, Nyx. We can be killed—but that’s different from death. Death is permanent. When we’re killed, our souls live on.” I gape. “You’re shitting me.” Her smile is the first genuine one I’ve seen from her in days. “No, Nyx. I’m not shitting you. Hades is in the lowest levels of Tartarus. It’s where gods go when they’re killed. You can’t get in—unless you’re being reborn.” I blink again, trying to catch up. “Wait. Why Tartarus?”

I was beginning to pant too hard. “You’ve been the one succumbing to the pull of emotions and don’t even dare deny it. What makes you think you would make it past the entrance of your pack not to even speak of saving omegas that belonged to them? That’s beyond trespassing, Athena. I believe the moon goddess gave you a chance to begin a new life with Dante but…”

And then the unraveling began. Light exploded behind her eyes as the Spiral buckled. Its threads tore through her ribs, slashing through old promises, unraveling centuries of divine intent. Elthara gasped, doubling over as her knees struck the cracked altar stone. Her skin split with glowing fractures as power surged without direction. No longer contained by gods or names, the Spiral turned inward—wild, desperate, and unspeaking. And Elthara, caught in its center, collapsed with a silent scream.

Alpha Darious, Spencer, and everyone else instantly tensed, backing away as their eyes widened in disbelief. With a twisted screech Percy’s torn form instantly reanimated each half rising as separate entities, both burning with the same dark aura. Asher immediately blocked Percy’s attack with one of his hands. During his struggle with the swirling darkness, Ronan’s eyes snapped to Asher, who was now fighting two Percys. Using his curse energy, Asher distracted one of the Percys and launched a brutal attack on the other, tearing open his head from the torso. However, the moment Percy dropped dead, another Percy arose from the fallen one. Now Asher had to fight three Percys.

The room spun, a maddening whirlpool that left her gasping for breath. Eira's cry of alarm was distant, a muffled echo in Athena's mind as she stumbled, her body wracked by convulsions. The curse, once a distant threat, had struck with deadly precision, its darkness suffocating her. As she fell, the pendant seemed to sear itself into her skin, a burning reminder of the happiness she was forbidden to have. The last thing Athena saw was Lucas's horrified face, his eyes wide with fear, before the darkness claimed her.

Achilles said, "Meet you at Elysium and try to woo you this time properly, until Leonidas dies and takes you away that is." It was said that souls after their death on Earth moved to either Tartarus, a place of suffering for the wicked or Elysium, a place of joy for the kind and those whose lives were worthy on Earth but souls who moved to Elysium lost all their Earthly memories as their lives down there must have caused them one pain or another, and they start afresh. Persephone tried to smile. "Giving up on me so soon I see."

The scent of the pomegranate and its sweet taste still lingered in her mouth, reminding her of her mistake. She looked at her own reflection on the black water. Her golden hair was disheveled from running. She realized just then that she had arrived at Cocytus - the river of lamentation, abhorred Styx, and the flood of deadly hate that sent a shudder through all hearers. Suddenly, a gush of water shot up and enveloped Persephone. A pair of pale arms wrapped around her neck and tried to pull her in with a strong tug. The goddess was devoured by fear. She realized with horror what was possessing her.

His gaze landed on me, and something I'd never seen before happened – Austin started crying. "Hey everyone, why such serious expressions?" I tried to make a joke, hoping to cheer them up. Unfortunately, my attempt fell flat as they continued to look at me with teary eyes. "You shouldn't be joking right now, young man. We were all really scared. You and Athena got hurt, and nobody knows how or why," Sophia scolded, her anger evident. Suddenly, her expression shifted to shock, as if she regretted her words. "What happened to Athena? And why are we both in the hospital?" I asked, struggling to recall the events but drawing a blank.
