Dear Reader Thank you for reading the first chapter of the book called, My Perfect Mess. My Perfect Mess was originally written as an Interactive Story Game. I am in the process of adapting it into a novel form. The original version contains a great deal of dialogue to fit the platform for which it was intended. Though you can enjoy the story in its interactive format too as currently published. (eg when Becca speaks, the format will be as this: Becca ~ “What is there to explain, Matt.”)

She slides into her office chair, arranges her bag, laptop and office files neatly on her large mahogany table. She tells her prayers, an old character imbibed in her by her mother. She goes through the email her P.A sent to her for reviews. "Miss Odenigbo, The Chairman needs your attention". Elo chimamanda's father's P.A informed her. "What does he want me for" ? She asked. "I'm afraid, I don't know Ma'am" she replies and leaves the office. She leaves her office and heads to her Dad's office, she walks into the large office with shelves lined up by the wall, different kinds of business books by different authors are stocked in them.

Chapter 32 Third person POV Alexander has taken his sweet time to shower since he felt he needed to clean his mind and not only his body. After almost being in the shower for the last thirty minutes, he steps out and looks around his room casually. His room resembled a perfect magazine cover of interior decor company, with a king sized bed placed in the middle which is covered by steel blue bed sheets; a Gobi dunes beige nightstand just beside his bed that has a beautiful white lamp and some scented candles placed on it.

It was silent now, aside from my footsteps, but I still could imagine just how magical it felt when the piano at the center of the room was being played. I kept searching the library; none of the titles stood out to me so I gave up and grabbed the book that was sitting in a cozy-looking chair. I plopped myself down and flipped through the first few pages. My eyebrows furrowed as I closed the book and reread the title. "The Origin of Shifters?" I murmured. This book should be thousands of pages long with obnoxiously dense material, but the one in my hands was maybe a hundred pages and full of hand-drawn pictures.

“Matthew failed to tell you that he’s in love with the mother of his child. He took you and marked you on an impulse, but he has no intention of being with you.” I watched as her tears filled with eyes. “Why? What’s wrong with me?” “No, no, no, baby. You’re perfect. I’m just already in love with someone else. I want her and my child. I can’t be with you.” He quickly told her. “How can I be perfect, yet you don’t want me?” She cried. “It’s not your fault. I’m really sorry.” He said as he rubbed her arm. I could tell that he was doing his best to resist the tingles that their touch created.

Afterwards, she headed to the kitchen counter and began to write. D̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶G̶a̶r̶y̶ ̶D̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶E̶v̶e̶y̶o̶n̶ ̶D̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶E̶v̶e̶r̶y̶o̶n̶e̶ I need to be alone

"Wake me up later if you want to sleep. I'll help you move you to the bed." Angel nodded, then she moved her wheelchair back to the table. Her fingers began to type on the laptop keyboard nimbly. Angel wanted to finish this book as soon as possible no matter what. At least before she died, she wanted to bring out another book. The thought that this would be her last book made Angel even more determined that everything she wrote had to be perfect.
