Alex paused, unable to complete his sentence, as he stared at Ann with admiration. She stood at the top of the stairs, radiating beauty. Her hair was styled in a high bun, with the rest cascading over her shoulders. A touch of makeup accentuated her features, and her lips shimmered in a light pink gloss. She looked stunning in the black halter dress that hugged her curves, showcasing her figure and giving a glimpse of cleavage. Ann held the staircase rail for support as she descended the stairs.

Mane and the twins reached a decision at the same time, and their eyes were firmly glued on Madam Anna’s enchanting figure. “It isn’t me,” Madam Anna shook her head and said. “This person’s identity is so unique that we cannot give it out. I am sorry.” Madam Anna apologized. “It’s unfortunate. I really wanted to know who this person was,” Mane smiled wryly and said. Lily nodded her head and added, “If it isn’t you or your family, then this person must be really amazing.” “He is,” City Lord Sutton replied. At least his words told them this person’s gender, but that was all.

After about an hour there was a knock on my door before it opened, a girl walked in, she had the same staff member's clothes, the difference between their uniform and ours, theirs is fully black with no extra tie. "Hello little one, I'm one of the dominants responsible for this floor. The name is Anastasia but you can call me Anna, you mind if we have a chat?" She says with my head still buried in the pillow refusing to talk. She walks in toward me, her hand goes against my hair as she pets my head in a calming motion.

And oh my is it good. Merigold flops down on the couch next to me. “ I brought you someone special I want to meet.” she points to an older woman standing at the end of the couch. The woman is in her late fifties early sixties maybe and gives off a grandma vibe. I like her already. “ Ailee meet Anna. A sort of den mother of the club.” I start to stand to greet her and she stops me “ Oh no sweetie. You sit. I’ll come to you.” Anna comes to me and wraps me in a tender hug. “ It is so nice to finally meet you, Ailee.” “ It’s nice to meet you as well,” I say.

“Is she alright?” She can hear a soft voice, perhaps a girl. Anna stirs and slowly opens her eyes to find herself in an alien chamber. The face of a pretty girl in her mid twenties appears in front of her. The girl has short cropped ginger hair with sharp features and small freckles on her nose. She is not so tall but there is an elegant vibe swirling around her. Anna also notices that the girl is wearing a tiara with the emblem of the Costas.

“You’re not the Council.” The figure leaned back slightly. “No.” Ariana stepped into the doorway behind him. “And you’re not afraid we came together.” The figure turned then. Slowly. Deliberately. And for the first time— they saw her. Not fully older. Not weak. Not hidden. A woman in her early fifties. Sharp features. Eyes that carried recognition too quickly. Too personally. She stood. And smiled faintly—not warmly, but knowingly. “I was wondering when you would ignore instructions, Ariana.”

I am sure I will figure it out soon. “ See. ” Anne pushes her phone’s screen close to my face so I can take a look at the picture. “ Is this him? ” Giana asks hopefully. I shake my head. Anne shows me the next picture and then the next and another one. We see a lot of pictures, but he doesn’t turn out to be anyone of them. “ Are you sure he was an Alpha? I have shown you pictures of all the Alphas already. ” Anne throws the phone aside and lies down on the bed, irritated.

On the other end of the line, Theo hung up respectfully. After half an hour, Philip was sitting in Theo’s office. A knock on the door. The person who came in was none other than Anna Carter, Theo’s capable assistant. “Hello, Mr. Clarke, Mr. Zander.” Anna smiled politely, her entire persona exuding maturity. She had long legs, a tiny waist, perky hips, and a full figure. She was a goddess in the eyes of many men, capable and intelligent. “Miss Carter, it’s been a while.”

Lando is nearly forty cycles old. But your ‘fiancé’ on that stage doesn't look a day over thirty, does he?” Avery’s mind spun. “Appearance is a poor metric for age in our kind.” Stan sneered. “True. So I found a better metric. I invited her here. You claim you saved Lando’s life abroad? Then let’s see if Anna Watts recognizes her own brother.”

Carlos replied, “What?” “I saw her,” Carden answered. “Really? Wow, that’s amazing—your little dream girl. What was she like?” Carlos asked curiously. “She looks exactly like her portraits—pale skin, red lips, grey hair—but eyes that hold words she can’t speak. Her name is Anna,” Carden said. “Oh, really?
