It hung off me like a nightgown, and every time Gregor’s eyes flicked over in my direction, I tugged it tighter just to annoy him. Not that he’d admit to staring. Oh no. He was brooding in the corner, big wolf energy radiating like a damn space heater, pretending to whittle at a piece of wood Nonna gave him. His jaw was tense, his eyes darker than the firelight, his wolf clearly pacing just under the surface. I blew on my tea dramatically. “You know, Alpha, it’s rude to glare at someone like they stole your favorite bone.” His head snapped up, eyes narrowing. “I’m not glaring.”

He retreats quickly, his expression surprised, and he fixes me with a cold glare. I can't help but grin proudly.

She smirked at me, then added an amateur attempt to wink, it was as if something blew into her eye. I couldn’t help the chuckle that broke out of me, “Never wink at me again,” I said in between laughter. “Fuck you. My wink is sexy.” She passed me a playful glare. “Now that you know that I know.” She leaned onto the desk so her face could pop closer in my view.

This wasn't panning out well, and out of desperation, I grabbed hold of his arm, damning whatever consequences may follow. I got his attention and he turned to look at me, more like glare at me. "What are you doing?" "I... I'm sor..." I stuttered and his eyes glared viciously at me. " Fvcking get your hands off me!" He thundered and I shook, fear the major reason. I had never seen him glare at anyone the way he did just now, except to his brother and it was true what they said - calm people were the deadliest. I wouldn't mind that though.

Jayla "Tyler!" I growl lowly. My eyes turn towards him and I glare at his hand which is raised in the air to throw another chunk of eraser at me. His expression turns into one of a deer caught on headlights once when he sees me looking at him and he grins sheepishly, wearing a mask of innocence. My glare falters at his expression but I maintain my demeanour and keep throwing daggers at him with my eyes.

I replied to him as I played with the ballpen in my hand. "Sir, I mean it. Miss Yasha is really beautiful," he repeated when his eyes diverted on the television, showing Yasha's commercial for cologne. "Orlando Venturano. Spill it." "Sir. It's so yucky. I told you not to call me by that name. Eww. You even mentioned my name completely. Argh," he pouted, feeling disgusted. I threw him a death glare causing for him to smile again.

Or avoid his gaze for a moment as if looking into his eyes was too much and they need a breather. And here's the most shocking part, even Alpha Ryder himself is affected. A few times I caught Alpha bowing ever so slightly whenever Zannicus directs his infamous glare at him. I could also see the frustration and inner turmoil through Alpha Ryder's eyes. To an untrained eye, or just anyone not that observant, it would unnoticed but I saw it.

It's like his small rebellion against being suit perfect. My eyes finally connect with his, which are grey, and are looking at me with a pretty disinterest glare to it. Why can't I get an amused smile like in all sexy office novels I read? I landed on planet earth with lightning speed at that glare. Bye-bye future Sinclair babies, mama will miss you.

I shifted my gaze to Soren who was still staring at me. His face paled and his lower lip quivered. I gave him a puzzled look. "Who is she? And that k-kid?" My heart is pounding as I asked that. I turned my gaze back to the woman and the kid, especially to the kid who was still staring at me. My forehead furrowed when he smiled at me. I think he's around 3 years old but I can say that this handsome kid will be more handsome once he grew up. I then realized that he got S-Soren's features too, especially the eyes. I shifted my gaze to the woman looking at me. Her jaw clenched. It's like she wants to start a fight. I mean, why is she mad at me? Did I do something wrong?
