A Nearsighted Girl’s Journey Through a Horror Game

A Nearsighted Girl’s Journey Through a Horror Game

Kill and claim. From Day Four on, if player A kills player B, A gets B’s visitor card for that floor and inherits all the cards B had already collected. It’s basically farming. If A raises B like a pig, fattens them up, then beats them when B’s weaker, A gets everything. And all of us were the pigs being raised by Elaine and Jethro. By accident, I became the pig king. Ugh. To put it bluntly, the rules actually allow and encourage slaughtering each other.

The Games We Play

The Games We Play

She immediately let go of the older woman's arm and took a step back when Leah looked at her offended. "I'm so sorry I did that-but, please. D-don't smoke. It's bad for your health", Kitty said, blushing; the older woman's face softened. "I know it isn't my place to intrude in your life, but what would your family-" Leah smiled, "What they don't know won't hurt them. Besides, it's just a game." "Men aren't the only ones allowed to play, Kitty." Confused, Kitty's brows furrowed. "I don't expect you to understand," Leah sighed.

Keep the Kid, I'm Out

Keep the Kid, I'm Out

He pulled me into his arms and said, "We're a team. Whatever you choose, I've got you. So what if you quit? I'll always be here." Now? He stood by and let someone else tear me down. He'd tossed those promises—and everything we had—like they meant nothing. Even Raymond and Josephine were sneering. "Emily, you're like a hen that can't lay eggs. Always off doing who-knows-what. How could you ever compete with Natalie?" "Honestly, no wonder Jasper moved on. You're just not that appealing." Their voices got louder, uglier. People on the street started staring. My fists clenched. Nails digging deep into my palms.

Keep the Girl, Lose the Deal

Keep the Girl, Lose the Deal

One drunk night with my best friend's brother, Eddie Sutton, and I became his secret girlfriend. Eight years later, my family finally snapped. They gave me a deadline and lined up a guy for me to marry. "Eddie, my family gave me a deadline. I have to get married this year." He went quiet, then kissed my forehead. Same old answer. "Just wait a little longer." Not long after, I found a post from his intern, Gina Yapp. The photo was of her and Eddie's marriage license. Caption: [CEO secured.] What I couldn't get in eight years, she got in three months. I swallowed the bitterness and hit Like. Then I commented: [Congrats. Wishing you both a happy life.] After that, I accepted the w

MAFIA RULES

MAFIA RULES

“it’s yours now, we keep playing at the end of the game whoever has the more cards wins” “Oh! So, it’s like my stash?” “Yeah” she grins at me as I finally get it. “Okay let’s continue, do I go first?” She nods and I flipped open a card, Maria Louisa does the same reveling a different card, I upturn another card, reveling a queen of hearts and Mari-Lu goes next reveling a two of diamonds next, after about six different card open, I felt like the next card to be reviled is likely to fall under one of the already open cards and when Maria Louisa upturns another card to revile a king of hearts I pout. While Mari-Lu grins widely doing a happy dance while she picks up her winnings.

The last 20+ chapters were the highlight and that’s what kept me reading. I read but loved it. I kept re-reading Niko’s POV. The steamy scenes kind of died down a little. Wish I knew what happened to the other characters. Overall I enjoyed it and I would read Eva’s story next too. Thank you author!

I read this book over a month ago and still can't stop thinking about it! I read it all nonstop in less than 2 days. I couldn't even put it down to go to sleep. The top mafia story I've read so far! I could say much more, but don't want to give anything away to those who haven't read it yet. Love!!!

His Forgotten Love Returns: The Return of the Ex-wife

His Forgotten Love Returns: The Return of the Ex-wife

“I remember. But I also remember telling you I have no idea how to play.” “Well, we aren’t playing cards tonight,” he said, gesturing toward the green felt of the pool table. He walked over, picking up a cue stick. “We’re playing pool. Simple rules: if you lose a round, you lose a piece of clothing. And if I fail — which I won’t — I lose one too.” He didn't wait for me to agree. He pulled me in front of him, my back flush against his chest. His grip tightened for a second — almost too tight — before easing, like he was reminding himself to slow down.

The Reunion

The Reunion

If you felt it, you felt it. “The game’s called Kent,” Naia started as soon as they’re all settled down in the locker room of the Bowling Alley. She continued to explain how the game works. Played in pairs, the goal was to get four of a kind cards (for example: four kings, four sevens, four aces etc.), signal whoever your partner was about it without getting caught, and have them shout ‘Kent!’ “So, partners. Do you want to partner with me, Jared?” “Not really,” he replied shortly.

Can you keep a secret

Bethel asked calmly as she was now back to normal self. “The user said there will be another round tonight” Ken finally spoke. “And if you ditch it, a third person will die so in my own opinion I think you should finish the game Clarissa.” Ken spoke. “But what if I lose? If I fail someone is also bound to die.” My lips trembled and my voice was hoarse. “You don’t have to worry about that for now, just play the game and who knows you might win.” Ken suggested and both me and Bethel were just staring at him.

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted

"What are you playing?" Stella's face remained emotionless, as she played the game. "Escape Room – One Hundred Ways to Kill Your Boyfriend." Keegan was speechless. 'Is that... really the name of a game?' Keegan thought to himself for a moment. 'Even though I didn't do anything extraordinary tonight, it was at least acceptable, right? She has no reason to be sarcastic, does she? 'Maybe it's really just the name of a game.' Keegan asked, "How does this game work?"

I am on chapter 1700 and trust me this has to be the only book here that I have not lost interest in,i.e, the chapters have not dragged on and you literally are on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Enjoyed the whole book except the last few chapters.Hope the story doesn't become cliched now
Aileen AC
What makes this story good are the characters, mainly the lead characters. Unlike other stories where the leads are usually portrayed as someone omnipotent with multiple hidden excellent identities, both Stella and Keegan have their own flaws and weaknesses, which made their characters more charming
