Resa called out to her but got no reply. "Ariel?" Resa said shaking her this time "How?" Ariel asked and Resa answered "We can't really control or change what we are meant to be Ariel" "What do you mean by we?" Ariel said glaring at the woman beside her "Ohhh Ariel...I'm a vampire and since your mother was a witch, you are one too" Resa said and Ariel looked frustrated and worked up.

The head of the tap was rusty and made a squeaking sound as she turned it in, using her hands to cup water and splash over her face. She felt terrible, and worse, her mind was awake while her body really, really wanted to sleep. Her eyes were already bleary from tiredness, but every time she tried to wade into the deeper waters of blissful oblivion known as sleep, she would get pulled back by the invasive memories of the last couple of hours. The sun was strangled by shadow until only a blood-tinged rim remained. An eclipse. My gut clenched hard. This was witchcraft. "What the hell is going on?" Lupercus mumbled. "Trouble." A stench slithered through the cracked window on a sudden draft, and with it came the taste of old blood, sour and rancid on my tongue. I curled my lip back over my teeth. "Vampires." Crimson eyes gleamed in the darkness of the pines. "Bravo," a voice sneered. Before anyone could move, the first vampire lunged from the shadows. The night exploded into battle.

The pale vampire with slicked back hair calmly surveyed her body from her toes to her face, lingering for a few agonizing seconds on her breasts as he licked his lips. She didn’t know how he knew her name, but he was soon not going to forget it. “Listen. I don’t know you and I don’t know how you think you know me. But you should leave. The bar is across the road. You can get a drink there.” She controlled her breathing and slowly side stepped around the vehicle, not turning her back on this unknown visitor. His lips turned into a chilling smile, revealing bright white fangs. “Oh, you sweet thing you. I’m not a drunkard. I’m just here to offer you a little piece of advice....”

She placed her arms around the Ember Ghost’s head weakly before dropping them weakly to her side. Then, the woman’s limp body slid out of view leaving the Ember Ghost standing. He wiped the remaining red stains from his mouth with a swipe of his arm before disappearing within the smoke that blew from across the float.
