The Luna in Me

The Luna in Me

And the ache of missing her hit with a force I wasn’t prepared for. Not romantic. Not even fully personal. Just the ache of losing someone who made the world feel less sharp. Someone who made me feel less sharp. I lay back slowly, staring up at the ceiling, the room dim except for a small pool of lamplight. My hand drifted absentmindedly over my thigh, expecting the familiar stab of pain -

Your Blind date, it was me dad

Your Blind date, it was me dad

" I try to imagine that you are coming home, that I hear your voice calling me from our bedroom door, I feel like I am going crazy just thinking that I will never see you again. I would give my whole life and I would pay anything to be with you again, and share beautiful moments, because the best time of my life has been when I have been closer to you. You have no idea how much I miss you. I miss you with all my heart, and although many say that not having someone close to you makes you forget them, I can assure you that I will never forget you, because I keep you deep in my heart, because your memory is for me the best of treasures, and I will take care of it for all my life.

TAKE A CHANCE ON ME

TAKE A CHANCE ON ME

Billy opened the diary again and found one of Isabelle's many poems: ‘I read and between incomplete lines, I see words that are forcing me to look for you in a thousand thoughts and write all the things that you are saying to me. I opened my eyes and in the morning light, I feel your sweet perfume that still touches me and plays with my senses. Then I look at the evening sky, I see stars, elusive figures that with harmonious notes, invite me to dance with you. I miss you and in the dark of night, I see blank pages that push me to write about you forever. I see your face in front of me, serene and beautiful,

I really enjoyed this book. Your writing is really emotional & riveting. You write about difficult topics such as violence, domestic trauma, emotional trauma, human frailties with sensitivity & emotional caring, which is very tough to do well. I appreciate that you approach these matters in yr work.

Another captivating book by this author. Have the Kleenex box beside you because you will be crying throughout. This book takes you through so many different emotions. I admire Isabelle’s strength. Looking forward to reading the sequel.

The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

Twenty-eight days; the last time I felt anything but the constant absence of her and heavy pit in my stomach, from her disappearing in every single way, and leaving a gaping silent sunless space in my life. I’m missing her like crazy, keeping her last texts messages because it’s all I have left of her to hold on to. I scroll to the very last one, again. It’s a nothing text; I don’t even remember what it was in response too, as it’s not connected to the conversation before it. Just one single text, one that sums her up in so very few words and I stare at it as my chest heaves with that same ingrained weight that I feel daily. Body sagging at the sight of it and mood plummeting.

When Love Crosses the Line

When Love Crosses the Line

She closed her eyes, imagining Liam’s presence beside her, his steady hand holding hers, his voice calm and unwavering. “I know you’re out there somewhere,” she whispered, voice breaking slightly. “I know you’re waiting, and I… I’m trying. Please, don’t give up on me. I need you. I need us.” The wind carried her words into the night, but no answer came. The city around her pulsed with life, indifferent and relentless, and yet, in the midst of that noise, her heart beat only for him. She thought of every moment they had shared—the late-night conversations, the quiet laughter, the way he had held her through storms both literal and figurative. Every memory was a testament to their bond, yet no

Sold To The Mafia

Sold To The Mafia

I take a deep breath, "This is a poem for Iris. Even though I didn't know her long she still managed to take a place in my heart. Iris, I think of you every day. I will miss you dearly. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane. I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken, No time to say "Goodbye". You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why. My heart still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you - No one can ever know. But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more; To remember all the happy times

My Twisted Mafia

My Twisted Mafia

“Sure. When you decide you are done mourning each Year. You’d tell me, meanwhile I will just do your shot for you because I never get tired” “Ahmed” Naseer sighed.. He looked at his best friend solemnly “I don’t know. I Miss her..” He said staring at the portrait of his mother on the wall.. Ahmed walked to him and stood beside him his hand on his shoulder “I know. And it’s okay to miss her. It’s okay to miss someone Who is absent. But you know what’s not right, to miss someone Who is present..” Naseer looked at him puzzled " Isqaar misses me??"

Be careful what you wish for

Be careful what you wish for

“ The night grows The wind blows Unseen stars from windows Tamed heights Untrained eyes see hope in city lights. But my soul longs for starlights with you by my side. When I look at the city lights from my window, I wish you were here by my side.” I lowly recite the poem while thinking of my mom and dad. They have no contacted me in a while ; this scares me a bit. In fact , every time they leave I can not help but worry about them ; thinking if this would be the trip that they would not return from. I know , I know these are really negative thoughts but after hearing their thrilling yet near death experiences scares a child. I can not stop them working , all I can do is pray and have faith t

JUST BEST FRIENDS

JUST BEST FRIENDS

No matter what angle she looked at it from, he always seemed to be staring back at her, like he was actually present in his own funeral, trying to communicate with her, aiming to make his presence known somehow. Or maybe she was just overexaggerating, or stressed, or both. In the process of crying, however, tiny teardrops landed on the note she held, forcing her to continue reading, despite her burdened heart. Yomi's poem reads: I wait to see you when I wake and dream of you at night, There is nothing I would rather gaze at than this sight. Your face is so exquisite that I forget how to speak, And with every visit to your beauty I become more weak.

Sweet forbidden love

Sweet forbidden love

"The road home in the evening rain. Seeing you walking with someone else. Suddenly, so many familiar memories. Keep surfacing, making me feel sad. It seems you are happy. Because I see you smiling so brightly. Holding your hand, someone hugs you. My eyes sting with this moment of weakness. Time passes, but you still keep the photos of us. The day we parted, you said you would always be waiting behind me. Who could love me like that? Who could need me that much? Who could break up and still hope every day? Wishing for joy even if I belong to someone else. Who could love me like that? Who could always be right there. Standing behind me for whenever I feel adrift. Bringing peace, without expect
