Novel & Cerita Poisonous Roses

Since then, Theo and I have had numerous arguments. There was a time I wandered into the garden and was captivated by the roses, heavy with blooms. Red roses are my weakness, and they were so vibrant and full that I couldn't resist picking a few. It was too late when the gardener stopped me, warning that I'd be in trouble because those roses were off-limits. He told me they had belonged to Theo’s late mother, planted in her memory, and he had forbidden anyone from picking them.

I pressed my palms together and the earth cracked open behind me. From the soil, some roses erupted with a sickly red glow. Each of them was shaped like a beast with their roots forming like legs and their bark splitting into mouths filled with rows of sharp teeth. Their movements were jerky while wet sounds echoed as they stretched for the first time. The assassins’ eyes widened in horror. "What are those!?" I smiled faintly. "Magic roses. They need nourishment." I pointed toward the assassins and said to the roses. "Feed."

I lifted the roses toward my face to inhale their scent. Enzo’s hand shot out with lightning speed, gently but firmly stopping me. “Careful. They’re poisoned—beautifully so. Save them for your enemies. Never smell the pretty ones, Reen. More often than not, the loveliest things hide the deadliest thorns.” His dark eyes sparkled with wicked humor as he added, “Much like you.” I pulled back quickly, laughing despite myself. Eric appeared at my side almost instantly, giving Enzo a pointed look before taking the bouquet to place it safely in a vase in the kitchenette.

She shuddered at the thought. “Why the expression?” asked Prince Joseph. Bella didn’t answer. She thought that if she could, she would stay there and learn medicines and even poison from Prince Joseph. He was considered to be one of the most gifted medicine men of the century and even a highly praise alchemist. But in order to gain his favor she will have to get the marigold flower for him. The marigold is considered to be one of the most toxic plant ever in existence. Because of its ability to bring the dead back to life, whomever is near it, the flower will suck out their life and energy waiting to store someone else’s life. Whom, no one ever knows either.

So I placed on a smiling face and pointed at some flowers, which where at the peak of their bloom and asked, “Do you have any knowledge about flowers?” “Yes I do Alpha” he replied and pointed at a purple rose with spikes and said happily, “that’s a devil snare, a poisonous flower that can make a fully grown wolf run mad, not sleep and have hallucinations, then if not treated urgently…it can lead to death.” “Oh..” I said and turned back to look at him in admiration, “that’s impressive.”

Lila "What?!" I got off the bed and rushed to him. Cyrus moved away from me like I was going to attack him. "Miss….." He was taken aback. "Repeat what you said. What do you mean by Rain Flowers are Poisonous?" My hands were shaky as I spoke. But……they couldn't possibly be Poisonous, could they? They looked so pretty, how could they possibly harm anyone?! "Those flowers are dangerous, Miss. They might be attractive but they are Poisonous. Anyone who consumed it wouldn't survive up to a day before he died." He had a confused, frightened and questioning expression on his face all at the same time.

It reflects in the mirror, showing a mixture of darkish and reddish colors, confusing me more as I try harder to figure out where I have seen something like this. "Val…" she calls. I do not answer. Realization dawns on me and I gasp when it suddenly hits me what this mixture really is. Poison. Slow poison. Made from flowers. Before I can turn back to begin my rounds of questions on how this got here and who gave it to her so I can inform Ryan as soon as possible, something hard hits me from behind and I find myself falling to the ground.
