Cordelias, the flower the vampires used to prepare their perfume was, in fact, the worst poison if ever consumed.
“I grew weaker.” She heard him say. His voice, manly and deep. The kind that stirred the desire deep within her. A rumble laced his voice, making it even sexier. “Then I was shot.”
“These hills are filled with poisonous herbs.” She frowned. “Coming in contact with them can be harmful.” That sounded like a valid explanation. Why did she never think of this? A few plants were lethal to the vampires. Hence, they marked and called the area forbidden to pass. Only they had never bothered her. She was naturally resistant to poisons.
