Walking near one of the tables with the cast irons I see some herbs and various plants that I recall seeing in one of the books I've read. And in the table without the cast irons, I see it. A vase and some gloves. A vase that had a plant with rounded leaves and lobed segments of purple helmet shaped flowers. "Aconitum napellus. It's usually called Wolfsbane." Silas says behind me. I stare at it entranced. Who knew something so beautiful can be so deadly? Every part of Wolfsbane is poisonous, from its stem, leaves, and flowers. It has to be grown separate from other plants, accidentally touching it or even ingesting edible plants that might have been too near it will cause death.

The warm atmosphere chilled significantly at the interruption. The waiter stood there awkwardly, holding the roses, unsure whether to do as she said. A drop of tear landed on the back of my hand. I ignored it and made a rose appear out of thin air just like a magician. "When we first started dating, you were nothing but a bouncer. But what did you do? You pulled out a rose that you had been hiding, and it was covered in blood." Thomas chuckled as he took the rose from me.

His patched clothes were faded and full of dirt marks. He dusted off his hands and gave me a brilliant smile. “They’re afraid of roses,” he said proudly. “Really?” I was astonished, unable to believe him. “You’ve already seen it with your naked eyes. These shrub roses are poison to them,” he told me. “How come? So we can just get rid of witches by using roses?” I requested more details. I was dumbfounded at the fact that we could just scare away those creatures with mere roses. “These kinds of roses are not like the ordinary. My mother picked them up from a burning bush near the forbidden river and told me to plant it around our cave,” he explained.

She scans the boy, her nostrils flaring. “He’s tagged,” she mutters. Runic light flares over his skin, tiny, web‑thin brands pulsing violet. “A Binding brand... very old.” I shake my aching hand; the thorns’ wounds knit, but black residue clings. “They tried to poison me through him. Roses of Morvath. Touch‑activated spectral toxin.” Nyrielle blinks. “Those haven’t bloomed in centuries.” “Someone cultivated them. David went upstairs to retrieve the surveillance recording while Felix asked anxiously, “Kayson, what kind of harm will the flower’s poison do?” “When one is in contact with it for a prolonged period of time, the blood vessels will harden and one fall could easily cause a stroke or paralysis, making one crippled for life,” said Kayson.

And the blush that was barely receding was back again. "I'm not a pretty little flower, Roses are as pretty as they are dangerous." He scoffed, standing up and even from where he was standing, I could see that he'll tower over me. He straightened out his suit jacket. Eyes boring into mine. "The only dangerous roses are those with thorns Rose, and you my dear, you have no thorns. You're a pretty little flower, a harmless little flower." He walked towards me till he was standing right Infront of me, towering over me as expected, I craned my neck just too look at him. "I'll be taking my leave now pretty flower, say hi to Mr. Potter for me."
