CHAPTER SIXTY: Jade’s POV Sheila’s mouth parted slightly. For a second, she did not even look angry. She looked stunned. Like she could not process the fact that Killian Montclair had just chosen my side so publicly. Beside her, the footballer reacted differently. His face lit up like Christmas morning. "Oh!" he said, straightening his shoulders. "Montclair. Pleasure to meet you. Kieran Stone." He stretched out his hand confidently. Killian did not move. He did not even blink. His gaze stayed on Sheila like Kieran did not exist, like the man’s extended hand was simply air. Kieran’s smile faltered, but he tried to hold it, standing there with his hand out like an idiot.

He took a step back, his hand instinctively balled to a fist. "Flinn, what are you doing?" Kylian asked, his voice shaking. Flinn didn't answer. Instead, he drew out a sword and lunged at Kylian. Kylian was caught off guard, but he managed to block Flinn's attack. The two of them began to fight. Kylian tried to reason with Flinn, telling him that he didn't understand, but Flinn was too consumed by jealousy to listen. He fought with a ferocity that Kylian had never seen before, overpowering him at every turn.

"Fine. I won't touch you. Just sleep." Maybe the birthday party had drained him because his breathing soon became rhythmic. Then, his phone on the nightstand vibrated. Somehow, almost on instinct, I unlocked it and tapped on a notification. It was a group chat. Photos were flooding in, one after another, all featuring the same pair—Kieran and a young woman who looked polished and elegant from head to toe. My heart skipped a beat. This had to be Vivian Fowler, the woman he intended to marry. In one photo, Kieran had his arm around her waist while they shared a deep kiss under a sky full of fireworks.

Immediately after they got out of the car, they saw Kieran’s flashy blue Lamborghini approaching them. But the one driving the car was Ember, Kieran’s new fling that he had brought home the other day. “Wow… Kieran’s tastes are getting more hardcore. The last one already looked like a monster, but this one has a chin so sharp she looks like a chisel. That chin is going to take his life one day for sure.” Carol agreed with Myka. Kieran had had plenty of flings since Carol got married to him, and each of them was stranger than the last.

He had tried his best to erase the ugly memories from his mind and heart, but there were days they just didn't go away. “Have you heard… that two-faced chameleon might actually get married. ” Kieran broke his chain of thought. He did not need to ask who it was. Kieran lived to bring Eutychus down whatever chance he got. Unlike Alaric, Kieran was very vocal with his thoughts, even the ones that should never leave his head. Kieran stood tall and bulky, the perfect definition of a “Big bad wolf”. His only flaw was that he mostly spoke without thinking. “Who is so unlucky to be paired with the chameleon?” Alaric asked totally uninterested.

They smiled a little at each other then Liam left . Kiara looked at the match and saw that Flax's moves had started to slow down . ' The show is gonna start now ! ' thought Kiara with a smile . Justin looked at Flax and showed a smirk . " Justin , how long are you gonna avoid my punches ?! Well , guess I shouldn't expect much from a loser like you ! Of course , what do you expect to be born from a lowly servant like your mother ! " said Flax with an evil grin .

Kylian's POV I didn’t get a chance to swing again. He was fast. He swung back, his own fist connecting with the right side of my jaw. I was blinded by the pain for a few seconds before I managed to swing again. “You fucking dick!” Kieran roared, shoving his entire body against me, knocking me into a small table, sending glass flying.

"Like I am about to watch justice finally happen. Like everything I have survived was leading to this moment." Kieran took my hand. "When this is over, when Lucas is in jail, what happens to us?" "What do you mean?" "I mean I know who you really are now. I know your story. Your pain. Your strength." He turned to face me. "And I want to be part of your future. Not as a business partner. Not as an ally. But as something more." "Kieran, we barely know each other." "I know you died and came back. I know you fought your way through hell to get to this moment. I know you are the strongest person I have ever met." His grey eyes were intense. "That is enough for me."

Kieran was already bored by the second period. His leg bouncing up and down. Classes dragged on. The clock felt like it moved in reverse. Every teacher sounded like they were mumbling through a fog, and all he could think about was the fact that, somewhere out there, a fight was waiting for him. One that he will remember forever, and it may be today. Tanaka had gotten a fun match; Roy had… well, he had a match. But Kiearn? Kieran was worried his opponent would end up being some random nobody who thought having a soul art automatically made them strong.

The scent of sweat and earth filled the air. "This will be your battleground," the priestess said. "Here, you will learn. Here, you will become who you were meant to be." I took a deep breath. "Where do we start?" "With pain." The priestess gestured, and a tall, muscular man stepped forward. "Meet Kieran. He will be your sparring partner." Kieran smirked.
