Ace looked unimpressed at my accusation, pocketing his hands in his cuffed camo printed pants, "I'm not following you."
"Then what are you doing here?" I challenged, popping a hip and settling my hand on it with narrowed eyes.
"I don't owe you an explanation, Miranda," he gritted my name with a flexing jaw and a snarl weighting the corners of his lips, "but I'm not following you and you're damn lucky I was here."
"I call bullshit," I said, with a cocked brow, "you have no business here."
"You'd be surprised," Ace murmured before swiftly changing the topic, "don't you have a class to get to or wherever?"
