I turn on the TV to find something to distract myself until my pizza arrives, and I come across a Harry Potter movie. It's funny, because now I can't watch anything from the series without Damien coming to mind. A small smile forms on my lips as my eyes fall on the table beside me where I have the magic wand he gave me as a gift. Despite what happened, I just hope he's doing better. After several minutes, knocks on my apartment door snap me out of my thoughts, and remembering the food I ordered, I get up from the couch and grab the money from my bag to pay.

He was the puppeteer, pulling the strings with precision. For a day, he’d played the part of the crippled billionaire—weak, angry, and utterly dependent. And now, with every piece of his grand plan sliding into position, all he had to do was wait for the final act to unfold. "Look at him," I murmur, watching Harry duck under Dylan’s swing and counter with a move that would make Wolfgang proud.

"Yeah, kid. We're happy." Harry beams before dramatically sighing. "Good! Because I want a baby brother now." I choke on my orange juice, and Adrian bursts into laughter. "Damn, kid," Adrian says, shaking his head. "Give us a minute, will you?" Harry pouts. "I'm serious! I need someone to play with. All the other pups have siblings!" I laugh, ruffling his hair. "Let's start with a wedding first, okay?" "Fine," he huffs, stuffing more pancakes into his mouth. "But don't take too long!"
