Practical Magic Alice Hoffman Novels & Stories

I can not believe I must relive this pathetic life as the loser daughter. Though, this time is different. I'm not weak or scared of this new life. This Alice's body has magic flowing through her veins. She never realized it until I overtook her body and became her. I lift my hand above the water and summon the magic. Red light swirls in my hand, giving off a warm and tingling feeling as I think of my revenge plan. "Miss Alice?" Knocks on the door made me hear Zayn on the other side as he piques himself in as I bathe. Red heat appears on his face. "I-I have your nightgown ready."

“Is it important?” Alina glares down at her little sister, who jumps closer to where I’m sitting with a frightened expression. As far as I’m aware, Alina doesn’t physically hurt her sister, but she loves bossing Jessie around. Alina is the beloved daughter, capable of using wind magic. She is their parent’s favorite, and poor Jessie has barely talked to her parents.

Every time we spoke about magic and witchcraft, she would lose control over herself and panic but this time she looked abnormally calm. I stared at her for a while and she looked completely calm from the outside but I could see the rising storm inside her eyes as I continued: “when you went out running, granny came out and showed me the journal” I looked at granny as she got the journal and put in front of Mia. Mia looked at the entry dated back in the 30s saying: “The Sinclair family have the book of shadows; I tried to get hold of it but failed”

The silver poisoning was taking its toll on the Alpha's body. Chloe cleared her throat and I looked up from Tor's embrace. She raised an eyebrow as she held out a cup of tea. "I'm afraid you won't be getting out of this visit without drinking one of my brews," she said with a smirk. Tor narrowed his eyes at her and then at the mug in her hand. "What kind of foul business is this?" he asked, his nose crinkling. "It is my own brew, actually. A silver poisoning antidote made from dried moonflowers, yellow dock, and witch hazel. Plus of course, a bit of magic," she finished, giving me a wink.

I had finished cleaning the kitchen, under the guidance of Margaret. She was an Omega and an elderly servant, whom to my knowledge, was Hawthorne's most trusted maid. She had decided to help relieve me of some duties and had sent some maids to replace me. “Take a break, Aurora. You will need it.” She said as she gave me a look of pity. She knew, they are knew that I’ve become Killeen’s new sex toy. However, I refused. “Don’t worry. I will take my break, when I clean the Alpha’s room.” I informed her and hesitantly, she nodded and I headed toward Hawthorne's room.

She was trying to make sure nothing went wrong as Alice was known to be petty. Since the day was for humans and the night was for vampires, While Megan and her kids were getting ready to start the day, Alice was preparing to enter her coffin. As she entered the coffin and its lid clicked to indicate that it was locked, the door to her room silently opened and someone in a black cloak entered the room. The unknown person started murmuring some incantations and magical energy started emerging from the person's body. It entered the coffin and it started shaking as Alice started trying her best to get out of it…

comes his reply, tinged with urgency. “Everyone step back!” Alice’s voice rings out, and I whip my head around to see her resuming human form, utterly unconcerned with her nudity. What fresh madness is this? But my eyes widen in dawning horror as she begins an incantation, her lips blurring as the eldritch words pour forth. She can practice magic? I’m not giving time to dwell on that as a roiling cloud of inky blackness coalesces around her, growing in malevolent density with every uttered syllable.

asked Alice, sinking onto the sofa in the room, folding her legs casually. Abigail poured coffee into each cup and then handed one to Alice. "I can see it in your eyes, as well as your lips that were about to part from the start. Let's talk about something else." Abby took her place next to the hired detective, who had now become her best friend. "Okay... so what do you want me to talk about? OH, I know! How is your relationship with that handsome Mr. Hoffman?" Alice asked, like a reporter interviewing a celebrity.

Far down the pass, an explosion ripped through the snow, and the air filled with the scent of scorched flesh. From the smoke, more figures emerged — but these weren’t Bloodforged. They were guild fighters. Harlow was at the front, sabers gleaming. “Step away from him!” Varrow’s smirk didn’t falter. “Ah. The cavalry.” In the chaos that followed, Killian caught a flash of Daryl’s hand — slipping something small and dark into Varrow’s pocket before stepping back. A seed of magic. Timed magic. Killian realised it just as Varrow’s cloak flared, blocking his sight — and when it dropped again, both Varrow and Daryl were gone.

Alice “How dare you?” she spat you shall all pay for doing this she rose up with her hands in the air she casted her first spell “ sabtagos min paria” a storm like cloud formed around them understanding the spell and it’s significance Alice casted a spell at the nick if time
