It was now time to begin playing for real since everything was in its proper place. I grabbed the phone on my desk and dailed a nuke. When I hit the button a gentle chime was heard from the line. I asked in a smooth low voice “Did you enjoy the show my friend?” It was answered by a gravelly voice. “Yes it was…messy. For a perfectly executed plan there are many loose ends.”

I guessed that he was calling to urge me to apologize to Doris in the group chat again. I did not want to answer the call, but the phone rang over and over, as Luke called me over seven times. I was still in the pack cleaning up work, so he called the phone there and the phone was brought to me. "Alpha Luke’s on the line. Seems urgent," the guard said, handing me the phone. I took in a deep breath and reluctantly answered the call. "What is it?" I asked coldly. The moment I picked up the call, Luke's angry voice scolded me over the phone. Someone would have thought I was a servant taking orders.

"Why did you abandon me?" the baby's voice cried. "Dad? Mom? Don't you want to be with me?" Jody kicked at the empty air in front of her, sending dust flying everywhere. "Who's there? Stop trying to scare me!" she yelled. The glowing specimen shifted positions once again. This time, it reappeared directly in front of them. "Dad… Mom… I'm so cold… Can you hold me?" the voice sobbed. Inside the glass jar, the specimen's oversized head seemed to be staring straight at them.

I glanced at the time and saw that the comedy show should still be airing, so I went into my bedroom to grab my laptop , I went online and started steaming the live show. I found myself laughing out loud and almost choking on my cereal. Then the comedian directed a question at someone in the audience, as the camera zoomed in the person, I saw a familiar face behind the person, it was Brandon looking all cute. I felt it would be cute to call him and tell him he was on live tv, so I quickly pulled out my phone to call him, watching him on the screen, I saw him hold up his phone and put it back in his pocket then I glanced at my phone to see that he rejected the call.

He grabbed his phone that was on the table part of the vanity and found his doppelganger’s name in his recent calls list. A couple of rings and… “What’s up mom?” a peppy voice that sounded very much awake came through Carl’s phone speakers. “You’re still up?” “Yeah, we just got back from destroying Dustin Himbolake’s career. Long story…” “What?!” “Yeah, turn on channel 102, they’ve been replaying the clip over and over again for the past two hours,” fake Carl laughs heartily and real Carl quickly scans the room for the tv remote. Finally locating it on the edge of his bed, he grabs it and turns on channel 102, belly flopping onto the mattress.

The whole city's respectable families would be in attendance; if they saw a horror-show themed ceremony, they would mock me without mercy. I had to stop it, but Yves's friend, Nina Cullen, refused outright and sneered at me. I called Yves. His voice on the other end was dismissive. "Stop making a scene. You're being paranoid." My expression hardened; I raised my voice. "I'm not making a scene. This isn't a wedding set; this is something else entirely—" He cut me off and hung up. I stood there, stunned. Just as he finished speaking, my phone rang and it was the restricted number that had always been calling me. "He is calling," I announced. "Pick it up and act natural," Kendra whispered. "Hello," I said. Instead of hearing a voice, I heard laughter. "You are so foolish, son. I can't believe you fall for the prank call." He burst into another round of laughter. He was having fun mocking me. "Where are you?" I simply asked. "I'm at the abandoned building, " he replied sarcastically and then laughed. "It's so fun watching you running around like a fool."

It's been two or three weeks since that night happened and Im slowly getting over it. By seven in the evening my phone begins to ring endlessly and I was in the middle of watching Game of Thrones. "Damn it." I paused. I picked up Monique's call. "This better be important. I'm in the middle of G. O. T." "Go out with me please." Monique sounded sad. "Are you ok?" I worried. She whines. "I'm noooot!" "Why do you sound like someone just died?" "I died. My heart died Tate. I think they're really going out." She dramatically cries.

I was never a victim and never plan on being one. “It has been fun chatting with you. I’ll call again real soon.
