Annie had to remove the phone from her ear for a little moment because of how loud his voice was. She placed the phone back on her ear. "This is Annie!...I don't...." "Really?. Is this another prank of your, doctor Larry!..why is your voice sounding....." Pim!. The line got disconnected. The hell!. Annie stared at the screen and quickly dialed the number again. *Sorry!,your account balance is low.*the service said.. Ughhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! She threw the phone down and ruffled her hair... Geez,if only that damn guy have listened to her self.

My mom frowned when she saw me. “Why are you back early?” she queried. I shrugged, “Where are the kids?” “Asleep.” I nodded and my mother frowned when she stared at me again. “What’s wrong?” my mom asked. I sighed and sat down on the couch, “I received a prank call today.” “Prank call? What was it about?” “Someone claimed to be my grandfather and asked me to ask you about it.” My mom was quiet but I saw the unmistakable look of shock that crossed her face when she stared at me. It disappeared immediately but I knew what I had seen.

I said grumpily into the phone after picking up. The person on the other end of the call chuckled, I looked at my phone screen to see who it was that called to make jest of me this early on a Saturday morning, the only day in the week that I'm off duty. Oh guess what? UNKNOWN NUMBER was boldly written on the screen as the caller ID. Is this a prank call? Seriously? "Hey are you crazy? did you call to make fun of me?" I'm getting so annoyed right now, what right does this person have to wake me up? I deserve rest and not to be disturbed by a prank caller early on a Saturday morning.

My trembling fingers moved across the keypad and dialed 911. The moment the call connected, I tried desperately to choke back my sobs, but my throat was so tight it throbbed with pain. "911, what is the emergency?" "I want to report a crime! There’s... there’s a prank gift in my house but I think it’s a real human hand..." The words had barely left my mouth when the sheer terror of the situation truly hit me. My voice shook violently and my tongue felt so knotted that it took me a good while just to explain what was happening.

“You have my phone." I breathe heavily and mentally chanted to myself that I need to relax because it’s only going to give me pimples. I should not waste much time on people who has absolutely no plans in life but to prank call someone this late. “Hello?” I hear him calling out. I breathe out through my parted lips, "Is this some kind of a prank call because I am literally not buying it." I arch my eyebrow at no one. "As much as I want this to be a prank but it's actually not." He answers, calmly again.

Although she wants to dance in the middle, the floor felt so narrow with this ocean of people that she just settled on the space she reached. "Girl!" A man in front of her called. She was already dancing; her hips are swaying from side-to-side as she lifted her hands to the air. "Why did you drink so hard? You are losing your mind! It was not our goal for tonight!" Dalmi opened her eyes and saw Jackie shielding her from the people around her. She smiled. "Jackie! Let's call off the prank. You know, he doesn't want to play. Let's pick another man–oh! Hello, Sir!" Dalmi smirked at the man from earlier.

But the third call had been on a Tuesday and she’d said something at the end, off-hand, about Tuesdays being slow, and the fourth call he’d made on a Tuesday and she’d picked up the hold line herself instead of the producer. “Tuesdays,” she said. “Tuesdays,” he agreed. They went on air for six minutes. After the show she texted the station’s contact number, which went to his phone because he’d left it with the producer as a callback number, and the text said: you’re good at this. not everyone is. most people freeze.

If it weren't for me, Andy wouldn't have to sleep in parks or contract such a terrible illness… But then again, why was Andy hanging out with them?
