The question sits between us, heavy and unshakable. For the first time in a long while, I don’t have an answer.

"You okay?" There was no reply.

No answer came. The line went dead.

“Why?” Tin wonderingly asked her. She also looked at their friend Mics and Carmina who's sitting in the back chair of Rhezi. The two did only shrugged their shoulders. Rhezi pouted her lips. She looked at her friends on her back. “I don’t have an answer in Trigonometry.” The three did a deep sigh in chorus. They were feeling bad because all of them had no answer. They’re only hope was Rhezi but she didn’t have an answer, either.

Lucas kept on staring at her waiting for an answer to pop out of his mouth which never happened. Time was passing by and Lucas was running out of patience. A dead pang silence toward his question was scaring Lucas. Somewhere or the other he knew what Skyla's answer was. It wasn't in her favor and this made him screech in his mind, "Why? Why the f*ck is she not responding? I hate her staying tight-lipped. Damn it! She needs to speak up!" Lucas pinched her chin and pulled her closer to him. He heard her gasp and he asked through her clenched teeth, "Won't you answer me? Tell me!"

I thought everything was going great between us. The suspense was killing me and I couldn’t wait. I decided to call him. I watched as the phone rang multiple times without getting any response. Parker had just texted me, there was no way he wasn’t seeing my calls. What was going on? I resorted to sending him a text instead. [ What’s going on? Can you answer your phone?] I stared at my phone as I sent the text. I was waiting for a response. But after a few minutes, I tossed it on the bed when I didn’t get any response.

They had presented the riddle, but what was the answer? I swallowed endlessly. How was I to find the answer? “What could someone use without seeing?” I asked myself, feeling the walls move closer. “This is so slow.” Aurora whined. “What would such a person make but not want? A disease?” ‘Idiot, you can't buy nor use a disease.’ “Okay, what would no one want? Of course, sicknesses, injuries, liabilities, accidents, death.” I began to list the numerous things, and then I realized in seconds, the walls would begin to crush me.

Finally some fucking answers. “Where will we be going?” I typed. I wanted to know because I needed to know that this wasn’t a trick. Since I have known him, Colin has been a huge surprise. I never knew that I would be thrown into a life like this where there are so many surprises but here I am in a vortex of so many questions and so little answers. Colin did not reply my message. I waited for 5 minutes but he had logged off without telling me what to expect tomorrow. He didnteven read the message.

At kahit ang typing sign ay wala din. Me:Hey, answer me! Where the hell are you right now!? Nag-antay ako na mag-reply siya. Ilang segundo ring wala akong napala. At nang makita ko ang typing sign niya ay halos mapasigaw ako.

Resolve. I’m tired of the unanswered questions, sick of having life happen to me without having a wind of why or what is happening. I draw a slow, steady breath. I don’t know what will happen to me if I don’t ask him. But I know one thing with terrifying clarity: If I don’t ask now, I never will.
