Chapter 4: Eternal Howl The distant howls grew louder, slicing through the peaceful afternoon like a blade. I stood between my three shifters in the cabin clearing, heart pounding as the rival pack’s approach shook the very ground beneath my feet. My body still hummed from the morning’s exhaustive claiming—every curve tender, my core filled and marked by Elias, Jax, and Kael. Their scents clung to my skin, a primal declaration that both empowered and endangered me. He didn't question his feelings because he had to find Oceanna. “Uh guys; why the hell is Hunter's arms glowing, and is he turning blue?” Ji'lahni asked in awe as everyone stared at Hunter, his body glowed with blue hieroglyphics just like Warlus. “He's Oceanna's mate and she is in danger, so his primal instincts are to find his mate by any means necessary.” Makahi said as he watched his warrior walk into a see of aliens who charged at him but stopped dead in their tracks. It was one of the two hunters that were searching inside. The one I had just been planning on killing checked his friends pulse before cursing and jumping through the now shattered window. Jason went outside the Chambers and didn't see Alpha Kane in the position he was shot. He walked to the side of the building, thinking Kane must have crawled towards them. As he kept walking slowly, his eyes sharp, Kane jumped from his back and bit his neck. "Ahh!" Jason screamed, with blood gushing out from his neck. This alerted the other Werewolf Hunters and they came to his rescue.

“Are they really going to just let me fall back?” That's actually... cause me a sigh of relief. I'm tired by the eyes that following my every steps! Then there's Grandma I notice anxious and been in contact with the messengers lady. And everyone of them is given grandma a jade, however it only cause Grandma to deeply anxious. Then her expression greatly change, she said in certainty, “It must be those horrible species! The Lycan kidnapped the future of the huntress!” “Future... of the huntress?” I curiously eyed everyone that suddenly voice out their wanting to wipe out the species they despise.

She felt like it was tearing her stomach in half. She saw the man lying there, zoomed in on his neck, and saw the blood pulsing within it. At that moment, she wanted more than anything to descend on him, to feed. The feeling was beyond an urge—it was more like a command. Her body screamed at her to do it. It took every last ounce of Caitlin’s will to look away. She would rather die of starvation than hurt another human. She looked around and wondered if there were a forest near here, a place she could hunt. While she had seen some occasional dirt roads and parks in the city, she hadn’t seen anything like a forest.

“It does though, don’t you get it? Of all the packs out there, Night Blaze is unique. It isn’t a cliché and it is a strong and powerful name.” Hunter looked down at the paper in front of him. He was silent for longer than I liked. When the silence settled in, my thoughts went dark. How easy would it be to jump over the desk and tear into his throat? Would I even care if I was the one to end his life? “You may be right.” Hunter finally spoke.

“All these years and I thought you were ready to be announced to the counsel. They were interested in you Evangeline but now, I don’t know if you are ready.” I sighed. We’d been playing this game for the entire week. I knew what he wanted. I’d given in, which was worse than hesitating. I ground my teeth together and pulled myself up to my feet. I swayed for a moment as vertigo hit and fresh pain tore through my body. I was pretty sure he’d broken several ribs and maybe even ruptured my spleen. My eyes flicked toward the table where the healing elixir sat. It would fix my body…a hunter’s secret weapon. How else would hunters have survived all these millennia? We needed magic to heal our bodie
