Starting Again and Falling For Him

Starting Again and Falling For Him

Pulling out the paperwork, found a typed letter. "Merry Christmas to you both. I can't tell you how much of a gift it is to have Rhys offer me the opportunity to have a second chance at life. My wife and I were barely squeaking by, drowning in medical debt because of her illness, when he came into my shop, like an angel, to save us. I can retire now and take care of my wife full time. Thank you both, from the bottom of our hearts. It's a Christmas miracle! And thank you Rhys, for letting me stay on and work Saturday's in the shop, so I don't have to let it go entirely. Love to you both, Frank."

It looked so regal with auburn patterns around it. “This is for you Elsa.” He said handing me the admission letter. “We’ll meet at this exact time, two days from now, and set off. Well, that would be if you accept the admission.” He replied chuckling. “Farewell child.” He said touching his hat which I was just noticing for the first time. With swift calculated steps he exited the shop, living me to the eerie stillness, a silence filled with torture and disarray. In my palms laid the letter, I looked at it once more. Without thinking much of it, I walked to the dumpster, dropping it in.

I needed to buy him a pack of cigarettes or something to say thank you to him. “Talk fast.” Shirley hissed as she practically threw me to the ground. “Elsie isn’t coming back because she found her second chance, mate.” I glimpsed into Shirley’s eyes and watched the anger and fear dissipate into thin air. “She found a second chance mate?” Shirley whispered, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. I reached down into my trouser pocket and grabbed the letter Elsie had written for Shirley. “Here, this is for you.” Shirley snatched the letter from my grasp and hungrily ripped it open. She devoured every word on the paper. Occasionally, a chuckle would leave her lips, or she would fight back a s

It didn't help either that my memory of her face was fading as each day passed. "Hey, are you ready to leave?" My father poked his head through my door. I clutched onto my luggage and nodded. "By the way did you get to say goodbye to your friends?" He entered my room and grabbed my larger suitcase. I continued to hold onto my smaller one. "No... I- I wrote them letters," I took out the letters from my tote bag and waved them around in the air. "And I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them." I nervously tapped the envelopes against the palm of my hand. I wanted Elliot and Vera to see the letters as soon as possible which made me rethink my choice of taking the letters to the post office. I took the letter from her, glancing through it. “I am writing this letter to you, our Amicable Alpha, thanks for all you do. I would be gone by the time you read this letter. I am leaving this park to another park for something urgent, I apologize for not letting you know in person. Take care of yourself, Goodbye” Ella★ I was dumbstruck, My eyes couldn't leave the letter, something was off as I read through, but I was unable to pinpoint what was wrong, so I decided to let it slide.

The Dollmaker's Daughter at Christmas

Upon tearing it open, she read the following, written in the familiar hand of one Cornelius Cane: Dearest Maevis, I hope this letter finds you well and without care or concern for my well-being. I should like to inform you that I have decided that the North Pole truly is the most fitting place for me. It was only once I discovered the magic of a year-long Christmas season that my eyes begin to open to other types of magic as well, such as friendship, kindness, love--and perhaps most importantly of all, forgiveness. I speak, of course, of forgiving myself. I am forever indebted to you and Ms. Crotlybloom for your service and devotion over these past eight years. As you can see, my dolls have

As she held the bag, I quickly started my motorcycle. But before I completely left, I looked back at the gate one last time—at the window where I could see the silhouettes of several children peeking outside, probably wondering who had come at such an hour. Inside the letter, I only wrote a few simple lines: “For the children. For all of you who continue to provide shelter and hope. I hope that even in a small way, I can bring smiles and comfort. — Mr. R.V.” There were no other details. No name.

At her name in her mother's handwriting. She did not open it. Not yet. Not here. She looked at the elder. "The letter to you. Have you read it?" "Yes." "What did it say?" The elder looked at the box on the table. "It said: thank you for holding this with me. It said: the cost was worth it and I do not regret it. It said: my daughter will come when she is ready. When she does, give her the letter and tell her I was not afraid." The elder looked at Elora. "And then it said one more thing."

I mouthed and enlarged my eyes, imagining that I was punching this man. I had no choice but to stand there while I leaned forward to his desk. "Cejay... I am working." "I know. Just a sec," I uttered, reaching for the invitation letter with my other free hand. "There." A triumphant smile crossed my lips. "Here is an invitation letter from Jolly Children Association, a nonprofit organization. They are inviting you to attend their charity," I said, giving him the letter even though I already read it. "It smells good, too if you smell the paper," I added.

The Alpha's Quiet Mate

“This should be entertaining.” I didn’t answer. Instead, I pulled a larger box from under the table and set it down with a dull thud. I placed the wedding dress box inside first, then the accessories, aligning them with an obsessive neatness. From the drawer at my side, I took out a sheet of thick, cream stationery and my fountain pen. Lilith leaned in, curious, but I turned away from her as I began to write a heartfelt and promising letter for Elara, and when I was done, I signed it simply: Forever yours.

Great story start to finish! Nice twisty plot, wonderful action, suspense, and love that you can feel radiating off the pages! I definitely loved the dialogue, plenty of wit, charm, and sass to spare! Highly recommend!

I really loved this story!! The storyline was different from so many of the others from this genre! I loved the characters and their interactions. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was that there were some grammatical errors and sometimes speaking was attributed to the wrong person.
