The cursed mate's return

The cursed mate's return

“And how exactly do we ‘end’ something older than time?” “I don’t know,” I said. “But we start by knowing what it is.” Freya stepped inside and the rest of us followed. The air changed instantly. It was like stepping underwater. No wind sound, Just weight. Every step echoed. We moved through the ruins, through the bones of her childhood. A shattered hearth. A collapsed staircase. The skeleton of a table buried under leaves and ash. Freya stopped near a jagged scar in the floor. “This is where it happened.”

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

“Agreed. Let’s move. The sooner we find what we came for, the sooner we can leave this cursed place.” They gathered their meager supplies—bedrolls, a few waterskins, and the weapons they’d kept close through the night—and set off toward the ruins. The forest was eerily silent, save for the crunch of leaves underfoot and the distant caw of a raven. As they approached, the air thickened, charged with an otherworldly energy that prickled their skin. The ruins emerged from the undergrowth like the bones of a forgotten giant—crumbling stone walls overgrown with vines, arches leaning precariously, and statues weathered beyond recognition.

Deeply in the game

Deeply in the game

When we get farther into the cave, it will be completely dark in there. Just lean against the wall for a moment while I unlock the entrance to the secret refuge. There is illumination, food, and supplies available at that location. There is still some time before our appointment with Jack, so let's get started. Her complexion changed dramatically in an instant. "Are you suggesting that we go into that cave to hide?"His brows lowered in surprise. “Right. Below the surface, there is a cave that has been concealed. Even if they thoroughly investigate the cavern, they won't be able to find us.

Midnight Howling

Midnight Howling

“Yes, I am done with my meal. Just finish your food, and I’ll find Damon if you don’t mind. “Okay, be careful.” I gave Prof. a grin and then quickly turned my back on her. So, naturally, I looked for Damon around our base camp. I think he should go to an area near our camp. I kept looking for him everywhere but kept my eyes on the Ruins. Its beauty inspires me, and I can see how it will look in my next drawing. The barrier keeps me from seeing what’s on the other side, but I’m curious. I turned around to ensure no one was looking, crossed the fence, and carefully walked inside. As expected, the inside of the Ruins is pitch black. Aside from the cold wind and the strange sounds inside, the in

Alpha Nocturne's Contracted Mate

Alpha Nocturne's Contracted Mate

Once they disappeared inside again, Lord Brarthroroz glanced back at the people waiting behind him with a smirk, lifted his hand and motioned for them to advance. Lexi's heart was beating wildly in her chest with excitement without a trace of fear as they crept over the remaining distance between them and the entrance, making their way quietly down the remains of the crumbling staircase and onto the dirt trodden walkway that cut below the ground floor of the ruins and into the gaping maw of the entrance to the cave system.

I loved this story with Alpha Nocturne and Luna Ann. I’m really glad that they got their happy ending and are fated mates. Ann’s love for him broke the curse. I was glad to see that her step mom and step sister got want they deserved.

How can this book be on the top read when the author stopped updating months ago. Author should pay penalties when they don’t keep updates consistent. I would give it a 1 star but you won’t see my review. Do t bother reading is hasn’t been updated for over 8 months.

Ashes of Six

Ashes of Six

But that version of me was slipping. I didn’t go looking for trouble. I just followed the pull in my chest. A tug of warmth and ache, like gravity, like something alive. The ruins were quiet now, cordoned off after the explosion, but that didn’t stop me. The wards were weak there, fading under the strain of whatever magic had cracked through during the trial. The instructors hadn’t figured out how to repair it yet. Maybe they didn’t want to. Maybe they couldn’t. I slipped through a break in the barrier, feet crunching softly over stone and old moss. The air shimmered faintly around me, like heat rising off pavement, but colder somehow. Hungrier. The deeper I walked into the ruins, the louder

Make Way, The Real Alpha Princess Returns!

Make Way, The Real Alpha Princess Returns!

“Fine. But keep up.” I touched Hunter’s arm briefly. “Stay close to me.” He grinned again, but there was a flicker of something deeper in his eyes. “Always.” And so, the three of us ventured into the ruins. The deeper we went, the more unnatural the forest became. Vines coiled around twisted pillars of crumbling stone, their ancient carvings worn but still whispering of a time long past. Something watched us here. I could feel it, the weight of unseen eyes pressing against my skin.

"Creed is with her, so let's hope they are not dead." Layla said nothing, but frustration was clearly visible in her eyes. After entering the Ruin inside the 'cursed-valley', they hunted several beasts. They also realized that the ruin was enormous from inside. Along the way, they encountered several turns and pathways. Thought they were closely sticking with each other, but after some time they come across an empty hall. Many broken and corroded statues were present in the hall. They also encounter an extremely deep well in the middle of the hall.

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

I followed, my gown flowing behind me like a trail of ink, with Kaelen bringing up the rear, his emerald frequency acting as a beacon in the dust. The descent into the ruins was a journey back into the hell I had just escaped. The walls were weeping violet mercury, and the "Null-Ache" in my head was growing into a full-blown roar. Every step closer to the vault made the twins’ conflict more violent. The obsidian pulse was now a physical heat, a burning coal in my gut. Thirty minutes left. We reached the entrance to the Sub-Level 3. The massive vault door—the one I had opened with my blood just chapters ago—was partially melted. Standing in front of it, surrounded by a dozen Scrappers in rust

Dagger of the Blood Moon

Dagger of the Blood Moon

Dust chokes the air. “Alternate path!” Kael barks, Veyra’s instincts razor-sharp as she points to a narrow side tunnel half-hidden behind a fallen archway, its entrance flickering with faint rune light. We plunge into the darkness, boots pounding uneven stone, the ruins groaning like a dying beast. Behind us, the shrine chamber caves in with a final, apocalyptic roar. The dagger pulses warm against my chest where I’ve tucked it, a beacon in the chaos—and a promise. We have what we came for. But the ruins aren’t letting us leave without a fight.
