A perk for being a good teacher, I guess. Outside the mafia world, I am Professor Quinn. I use my middle name and there are bickering that I am Matteo Scarpelli, or a doppelganger. No one has ever dared ask me openly because they fear I might cut them into pieces and through their dismembered parts away where they will never be found. Well, my only requirement to the school before accepting this job is that my professional life be kept aside from my several businesses. Stanbury accepted my terms and that's how I became a History Professor in their establishment, this year being my fifth year with them.

He’s close now, he looks at me as if he’s studying me. “Higher, stretch.” His hand moving near my ribcage but not touching. “I need to see how the muscles look.” I stretch higher. His eyes track the movement of my body like he’s memorizing equations. “Turn slowly.” He takes a deep breath. “Something wrong, Professor?” “Your posture.” His voice sounds strained. “Your back curves here.” His finger runs down my back, the first time he’s touched me since I stripped. “Do you feel that?”

His deep voice reverberated and they sounded sincere enough. But something hold Maya that this man was not sorry at all. "My name is Doctor Alexander Grey but you can call me Professor Grey." He pushed the bridge of his glasses further up his nose, looking at each student in turn. "We only have a few minutes before this class will be over so I'll try and rush things."

But her eyes widen when she hears her name from behind. Danny walks toward her, making both her and Professor James confused. "Hey, Professor Parker!" Tiara forces a smile before greeting him. We made our way to two empty seats at the back. “Hey,” Liam whispered moving over for us to sit next to him. “Get lost asshole,” Macy retorted before I could say a word in response. She held my hand and made me sit. “What is going on? Why do you look so pale?” she whispered. My gaze never left his. I gulped. “Why is he here? Where is the arts professor?” “Oh, that? Didn’t you get the mail? Professor Brown retired to his hometown. Professor Sebastian got transferred as his replacement. He’s hot isn’t he? That’s the reason why you were so distracted…”

Me: That's a hundred percent correct and I also know you better than you know yourself. We beamed at each other ear to ear. My hottie Professor: Today I'm really not feeling like taking the class. Me: So what are you feeling like to do, Professor? My hottie Professor: I'm just feeling like to keep talking to you like this. Me: Then keep talking, who is stopping you? After all, you're a professor. You can even cancel the class. I winked at him. My hottie Professor: That's a great idea. I think I should really cancel the class today.

"So you're saying it doesn't connect?" Snickers from the back grow louder. "I'm saying it's outside the scope of this lesson." He tilted his head just slightly. "Or maybe it's difficult to connect?" More laughter and whispers. Heat crawled up my neck. "How does she not know the answer to a student's question... but she calls herself a professor" Someone whispered loud enough for me to hear. I don't know if he was deliberately trying to make me an object of mockery but it was genuinely pissing me off.

Professor Malinda is a woman with height, seated behind her desk, peering at her laptop from the top of her spectacles while her hands move fast on the keyboard. I bow my head a little. “Greetings, Ma’am. My name is Lilac Stone. I’m one of the interns for this session.” “Ms. or Mrs. Stone, what school did you graduate from?” she replies immediately but without looking up. “I schooled at New Savors College, Ma’am.” The professor looks up that instant, adjusting her spectacles. She purses her lips for a while before finally uttering a response. “Hmm. I see.” She points her dainty fingers to a heap of files on her huge desk. “Look for your file and sign.”
