However, as I repeated the bible verse three more times, the voice stopped. I was able to release a deep sigh as my body began to relax.

I could see Papa's frown, the flicker of hope in Matteo's eyes, and the way the guards let out a collective sigh of relief. "Don't get any ideas. I haven't forgiven you." If the Bible wasn't close, these words, she knew by heart, were great substitutes. They did more than comfort her. They assured her safety and a great deal of bravery. She had been standing in the SS3 female restroom for a few minutes, reciting this psalm while pacing the room, her palms clapped together and pressed against her lips. Thankfully, the cleaners of the school always did a good job in keeping the bathroom stalls and the whole place sparkling clean.
