*** Skylar’s POV *** I continued to hit the punching bag even though I knew I needed to replace it. It was hanging on by a few threads, split in half from a couple of well powered kicks. Still, there was something thrilling about trying to sever the whole thing and have it fly off. Taking a deep breath, I did a low roundhouse kick and hit the meat of the bottom-half of the punching bag. The sound of tearing echoed in the quiet space of the workout area and the bag exploded from its spot. Flying across the room, it hit the wall and the grain or rice exploded against it.

Soren's POV The sound of my fists slamming into the punching bag echoed in the gym, each hit fueled by raw anger. “Calm down,” Jace said, his voice cutting through the air. I ignored him. My knuckles burned as I pounded the bag harder, picturing Joshua’s smug face on it.

I exhaled and stared at the black colored punching bag in front of me; I don't know how many times I punched the punching bag. When I'm furious or annoyed, I punch a punching bag to let out my frustrations. I don't want to fight with Beta or Gamma because I don't want to lose them. "Have you finished punching the punching bag, Alpha?" I turned around and found Beta standing in the doorway. He grins and hesitates to approach me. "How long have you been there?"

Coach’s whistle cut through the air like a knife. “Gloves up! This isn’t playtime. Screenings are around the corner, and some of you are still punching like amateurs.” The gym smelled of sweat, leather, and disinfectant. The sound of gloves smacking heavy bags echoed all around me. Older fighters moved with sharp precision, their punches crisp. Meanwhile, the freshmen—myself included—were struggling to keep up. I threw a combo into the bag—jab, jab, hook. The impact rattled my wrist. Not clean enough.

The punching bags were designed to absorb a lot of force because werewolves are naturally strong, so when it shook like it was going to fall from the ceiling, my lips tilted upwards in a smile. "You're going to kill yourself; you know." The voice rang out in the empty gym and made me falter a bit. I took a position in a second and landed a series of fast blows on the punching bag, mixed with a couple of high kicks. "Harper?" I huffed angrily. I wanted to be alone right now. Could no one understand that? I spun and landed a roundhouse kick on the bag and the bag rattled and fell flat on the ground because of the impact.

I wrapped my fists, and got into my fighting position. I started lightly punching the bag, getting a feel for it. Finally once I was ready, I punched the bag slightly harder."Is that really the hardest you can hit the bag, Cal?" He asked putting the weights down. He walks over to me."Nope." I snipped, not in a rude way, but the, I'm busy way."Bunch the bag as hard as you can." He said reaching down and slapping my thigh. I stopped, "why did you do that?" I asked."It's annoying." He shrugged and slapped the other thigh.

Rhett mocked. “Shut the fuck up!” I couldn’t contain my rage anymore, and I punched another punching bag, successfully ruining two bags within minutes.

I faced the punching bag, clenched my fists, and swung. My punch landed with a soft thud, barely moving the bag. The warriors watching from the sidelines chuckled. "Put your weight into it," Emilia advised. I tried again. And again. Each punch landed with a disappointing lack of force. The warriors' laughter grew louder. Stanley, leaning against the wall, joked, "You're going to knock out a feather!" I glared at him, my face heating up in anger. Determined, I tried again. This time, I put everything into the punch. I stumbled forward, nearly falling into the bag.
