THE RIVER OF TONGUES Arrival at Rivenmouth Twilight descends as Ceres and Xavier arrive at the edge of a narrow gorge hidden beneath the western cliffs. The wind howls eerily between jagged rocks, and the scent of sulfur hangs in the air. The Temple of Rivenmouth looms ahead, carved into the mountain's mouth like a beast frozen mid-roar. Between them and the temple lies a slow, glowing river—its current an unnatural hue, pulsing like blood beneath flame.

~Tyra’s Point of View~ Obviously this wouldn’t be my first time being intimate but the anticipation sure made it seem like it. Reba was practically falling over herself trying to chase him down. We came through some brush and I heard the sound of water faintly trickling. It was easy to track Ridge between his scent and the blood on him, which simultaneously made me weak with desire but also disgusted. I didn’t like my mate being hurt and I was desperate to fix his wounds.

"The men in the suits are building the stone paths for the water." "I know, sweetie," I said, resting a hand on her back. "We finally have a boundary." Maya tilted her head, a small, knowing smile playing on her lips. "We have a boundary for the men. But water doesn't know how to follow rules." I followed her gaze. The glowing, violet river snaked out from beneath the mountain, passing under the shimmering energy of the Violet Curtain and flowing directly into the human encampment. But my surgically enhanced vision caught something else.

Ruby asked, "Grandmother Willow, why do I have appeared ugly, with scars, and fat to everyone?" Grandmother Willow patted the little girl on her back, and her branches mimicking her movement was also brushing alongside her side. Grandmother Willow replied, "Look into the stream, what do you see?" The river is a crystal clear, blue water. It's water comes from the top of the Forbidden Mountain where it's the purest. Following the path down the mountain, it creates a magnificent waterfall as it tumbles down the rocky and blue cliff. It have a deep swimming hole that emits the color green the deeper it goes.

Richard dipped his gaze as the large moths dipped, following their silhouettes as they plumed out and then upward, up, and into the snowy night sky. Black water. Nothing could survive it. All that suffocating dirt and chunks of rubble. Crashing down like that. Nothing. The silt would get into their clothing, Richard knew, weigh them down, drag them under to where black rushing torrents would sweep them downriver, possibly for miles. No one could survive. Not in this cold, in these rapid-moving waters. “Glee . . . shit.”

"It is clothes worn by women in this realm. This, from me to you, shows that I see you as one of us." Eleanor pouted. "That's so lovely. Thank you," she hugged her again and looked at the material. It was a colour merge. Something between rose gold, coral and the lightest shade of purple. It was absolutely beautiful. "I see the look in your eyes. Might I help you put it on?" "Yes please." The women marched into the bathroom.

But suddenly. “Mommy, Daddy.” A cry from a little girl echoes right in front of him and from the other end of the bridge. The night that is deep and quiet makes the crying echoes. The burning cars in front of them and the smell of intoxicating burns are raising. He stops crying, now pitying the little girl that just got his attention. He turns his gaze in front and saw the little one dressed in red, full of wounds, and crying hard. Her cheeks are red from crying and her nose seems to swell because of the same reason. The lights from the bridge made him see her clearly, or perhaps he is only seeing himself from her.

She asked Seb. "Nothing" he answered simply not turning around. He cut swiftly between some shrubs. Marie followed beginning to hear the sounds of running water. The closer they got the louder it became until they broke through a clearing with a waterfall. The fall was magnificent. The water poured gracefully from a hill into a small pound. The sun was hitting it making every drop sparkle. "There it is" Seb's voice broke her from the trance. She didn't see what he was talking about at first but when she gazed around she caught sight of the watery door right next to the fall.

Adir close his eyes but the presence won't leave,it stood still waiting for him to follow,he open his eyes crestfallen,the mist smile and nod for him to come, Adir ran his hand through his long hair and look at the figure again then went after it. Excitement bloom in his heart as he follows the woman to the deepest part of the woods and suddenly she came to a stop facing a stream of water one that Adir had never seen before, he observered that the figure is trying to walk into the stream but she was held back,Adir try to go in but was shocked to see himself falling to the ground from the great force blocking the woods from the stream.

Where Rivers Remember Water surged from the broken statue like a living thing—rushing, swirling, climbing the banks without touching the trees. It swept through the clearing in a spiral, circling Mireya without soaking her feet. The drowned dropped their heads to the ground, whispering in tongues older than land. Bastian grabbed Mireya’s hand, trying to pull her back. “You’re not doing this,” he said. “This is them. This is their flood, not yours!”
