The anticipation was palpable, as if we both held our breath, waiting for the truth to unravel. She leaned back against the soft cushions of the sofa, seeking solace and stability in its embrace. Anxious, she nibbled on her bottom lip, a telltale sign of her deep contemplation. Her question hung in the air, demanding an honest response. "I'm curious. You're obviously an intelligent man with the world at your feet. Why are you doing this? I thought it was all about seeking revenge, but I suspect there's more to it."

Why it is still an unraveling mystery? I mentally banged my head at all those tons of questions and shoved everything away from my mind. Every single thing in these questions seems related to each other but still I don't even have a clue about it. Till how long am I supposed to suppress my curiosity? Oh. Rehan who are you?

“That is the beginning.” Imani writes in her notebook. “What if she says fine?” she says. “Ask her again in a different way,” I say. “People say fine because it is efficient. It is the answer that closes the conversation. Ask a question that cannot be closed with fines.” “Like what?” she says. “Like what did you want to be before everything else happened?” I say. “Like, what is the thing you do that makes you forget what time it is. Like, what would you change if you knew it would work?” I pause. “Questions that require an actual answer.”

He ask blatantly. His question left me off guard. How does he know about our little secret?

One question rang in his ears and was becoming heavier with every second. What are you hiding from me?

I asked. “Well, would you call it sneaking up, if you can already tell I'm coming, huh?” Okay, I have to give him this, he really knows how to throw a question back so perfectly well, it's annoying. “Buy seriously curious, how do you do that so easily, though?” he asked. “ And just why do you think I would answer that question ?” I asked, staring right at him with a smirk. “Ohh I wow, so this is what they call having a test of your medicine, huh,” he said as he let out a laugh.
