Rafael’s POV I decided to stop by the bar this morning. It had been a few days since I had been there and I couldn't neglect it. Actually, I was even missing it. When I walked in, the day shift staff immediately came to talk to me and I was pleased to see that things were running smoothly. I took a look around the room and remembered Richard and Anabel's wedding - it had been beautiful. Maybe my crazy girl would like the idea of us getting married there.

She rolled her eyes, but there was something deeply satisfying about the way he held her, like she belonged nowhere else but by his side. Just then, a familiar voice called out, “Kieran.” They turned to see Rafe approaching from a hallway that branched off toward what looked like offices. He was dressed casually, but there was always a grounded intensity to him that made Aria feel like he was always planning something in the background. “Do you have a minute later?” Rafe asked. “I want to go over the route to the Ashfall territory before we head out.” “Yeah,” Kieran nodded. “Give me twenty minutes, I’m just heading back to shower, and I’ll be right back.”

She questioned earning a sweet smile from the guy who took a step near her making the guard block his way. "Hey, let him be." Freya ordered making the guard sigh in distress. He had no idea what to do? His boss told them to not anyone near his wife but also to listen to her each and every order. "Hey, I am Rafe. I was driving towards my friend's house but my car's tyre punctured and I was walking around the place to find a help when suddenly I saw these guys but they refused to help me." Rafe said with distressed gaze making Freya instantly feel bad for him.

said Rafael. “I’m okay with iced coffee. Put some frappe on.” said Luna. Rafael laughed slightly. “Okay, how about you, princess?” “It’s just the same as Luna,” said Ella. Rafael smiled and did not speak. The two women watched Rafael. He was wearing an apron while busy with what he was doing. Its handsome face brightened the light in the bar. If they didn’t know him from being a murderer, they might believe he was a good man.

I stare at the black screen of her phone for a moment, then shake my head once. “Not yet.” Rafe raises an eyebrow. “Oh?” He slides the device completely into the Faraday sleeve but leaves it unsealed. “So we’re playing?” “I want him to feel at ease. Let him think he's in control.” Rafe studies me intently now. “Comfortable men tend to make messy mistakes.” “You understand.” He nods slowly, then disconnects the wand and begins to pack away the cables with calm efficiency. Once he’s finished, he snaps the case shut but doesn’t get up right away. Instead, he looks at me with an expression that borders on curiosity.

If you don’t want me to kill myself with hunger in your house, then let me go. Rafael was a feared man in Los Angeles. Everyone knew the people he killed and his history in the mafia world. So, when my sister was engaged to him, I thought she knew what she was getting herself into and didn’t want to ask questions about them.

His chest was broad, lightly dusted with hair, abs tight enough that I forgot how to speak for a second. He was drying his hair with a towel. The motion made everything flex.
