His Substitute Bride
I opened my mouth to say something, anything but Raiden just lifted a lazy hand and waved at me, his steps wobbling.
“Hey, North. I promise I’m not drunk, I’m artistically unstable.” He chuckled, swaying slightly.
“You’re drunk,” Finn corrected.
“I’m medium-well drunk.” Raiden grinned again, then leaned closer to Finn and whispered, though it was loud enough for me to hear, even though he probably thought he was being subtle. “Be nice, she made you dinner.”
I blinked in surprise while Finn stiffened.
Raiden patted his chest with all the coordination of a toddler. “I’m gonna go now before I fall asleep on your couch and you hit me with something.”
